Speaking clubs

The topic is carried out in order to: State the real situation of teaching and learning English speaking skill at Quynh Luu 1 high school; Conduct a survey about how students improve their English - speaking skill. Instruct teachers and students how to carry out some exciting activities for English clubs.

The data obtained from the questionnaire with 60 students. The findings show that students first-year faced both internal and external challenges, especially the latter ones regarding the limitation of English speaking environment and extracurricular activities. Possible measures are proposed to tackle such challenges in helping students speak English more effectively. The study also show some benefits of English Club in improving student’s Speaking Skill.
