  • Two small genera of the subfamily Braconinae, Angustibracon Quicke, 1987 and Pseudospinaria Enderlein, 1905, are reported for the first time from Vietnam. Two Angustibracon species, Angustibracon leptogaster Cameron and Angustibracon maculiabdominis Zhou & You and one Pseudospinaria species, Pseudospinaria attenuata (Westwood) are newly recorded for Vietnam’s braconid fauna. Additionally, the species are redescribed and illustrated. An illustrated key to the two known Augustibracon species and a mapped distribution of species in Vietnam are also given.

  • This study was conducted in the period of 2012 to 2015 in some locations of Japan. At each location, samplings were carried out on reef slopes using SCUBA diving, on reef flats, tidal beaches and river mouths during low tide. The specimens then were treated using a differential interference contrast microscope with a camera lucida (BX-50, OLYMPUS), a quick auto-coater (JFC-1500, Ion Sputtering Device), a scanning electron microscope (SEM) in the laboratory of Shizuoka University.

Bamboo in the Central Highlands is distributed in three vegetation types: degraded natural forests in valleys and mountain gorges, along rivers (twenty-one species); primary forest, mixed with broadleaved trees (six species); and dry dipterocarp forest (two species).

  • This paper aims to provide information about the fractions of cadmium (Cd) and its distribution in surface sediment collected from bivalves harvesting areas in Binh Thuan province (Tuy Phong, Phan Thiet, Lagi). For this purpose, the sediment samples were collected monthly along with these areas in 2015–2016. To analyze the fractions of Cd, a five-step Tessier (1979) sequential extraction process was used, including Fraction 1 (Exchangeable), Fraction 2 (Bound to carbonate), Fraction 3 (Bound to iron-manganese oxide), Fraction 4 (Bound to organic compounds), and Fraction 5 (Residual).
