Sporulation inhibition

Brinjal is an important vegetables crop grown in India. The leaf mold is an important disease causing yield loss in Manipur region. Among the plant extracts studied garlic at both concentrations (3 and 6%) showed maximum growth inhibition, whereas among the fungicides propiconazole and hexaconazole showed the maximum efficiency in inhibition of growth over the control. The sporulation was completely inhibited in all the treatments studied.

The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of Poly-3-Hydroxy butyrate against the sporulation of oocyst of E. tenella. In this study four different doses of PHB which was extracted from the Bacillus subtilis culture, 10, 20, 50and 100mg were used with 2.5% potassium dichromate as positive control and distilled water as negative control. The experiment was carried out in 24 well plates.

A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of bioagents and botanicals in vivo during kharif, 2017 to manage anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum capsici on chilli (Capsicum annuum L.).The anthracnose of chilli is one of the most devastating diseases. The various factors viz. nutritional, physical and toxicological factor showed wide variation on growth and sporulation of C. capsici. The effect of treatments on anthracnose disease management of chilli in field condition revealed that all the treatments showed significant reduction in the intensity and over control.
