  • This paper proposes a model reference adaptive control (MRAC) design for vehicle active suspension systems with unknown spring stiffness and damping coefficients with the aim of improving the performance of suspension systems. A mathematical model of a half-car active suspension system is first presented, then a reference model of a half-car suspension system that utilizes the skyhook damping concept is proposed.

  • The paper goes into research on the formulas to determine the dynamic spring coefficients according to Japanese and Vietnamese standards. Then, apply calculations for dynamic analysis models of pile foundations built in the Binh Thuan sea area. The impact vibration test in the field shows the appropriate formula for calculating the coefficient of dynamic springs in Binh Thuan, Vietnam.

  • This paper studies the vibration analysis of the powertrain’s four-point suspension system of light truck. The method of reseash is simulation by using MATLAB Simulink. The relationship between the system’s physical parameters (spring stiffness and damping coefficient) and the vibration parameters is then analyzed to find the best combination of the physical parameters that yields the optimized vibration behavior. An experimental of measuring the vibration frequencies at the four-point of powertrain's suspension with the engine working with different rotation.

  • This paper presented a method to reduce the torsional vibration of a shaft system with dynamic vibration absorber (DVA). A theoretical method was introduced to determine optimal parameters of the DVA, which included spring stiffness, viscous coefficient of damper, mass moment of inertia of the absorber, number, and radial position of springs and dampers. First, system equations of motion of the shaft and the DVA were elaborated using Finite Element method (FEM) and solved by Runge-Kutta algorithm to find the torsional vibration response.

  • Weirs are overflow structures used to measure flow or to control the water elevation. In sharp crested weirs sharp edge in the crest causes the water to spring clear of the crest and thus accurate measurements can be made and results beneficial to tail end farms in a field channel. Hence, sharp crested weirs are used for experimentation. The research project was envisaged with the following objectives to develop sharp crested rectangular weirs with 30°, 45° and 60° edge angles.

  • Seven release varieties of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) were evaluated for G X E interaction, adaptability with sustainability index and their comparison for cane yield (t/ha) incomplete randomized block design during spring season of 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 & 2019-20 at Agricultural Research station, Ummedganj, Kota under SouthEastern Plane Zone of Rajasthan. The mean cane yield (t/ha.), regression coefficient (bi) and deviation from regression (S2 d) with sustainability index was used to identify the stability and adaptability of popular sugarcane varieties.

  • Genetic diversity and the association of the target traits with other traits are the foundation for any crop improvement programme. 308 genotypes of spring wheat reference set (SWRS) were evaluated in simple lattice during crop-season 2015-16 to study genetic diversity and, character association. Phenotypic data were recorded on 15 nutrients and grain yield traits. Analysis of variance revealed significant differences among all the genotypes.

  • Daffodil (Narcissus spp.) belongs to family Amaryllidaceae and is a bulbous perennial grown for attractive flower, borne in spring sometimes autumn or winter. The present study was carried out to assess the genetic diversity present in daffodils in temperate region of Kashmir India using eleven sample sequence repeats (SSR’s). Twenty seven genotypes of daffodils belonging to different species such as Narcissus incomparabilis, Narcissus pseudonarcissus, Narcissus jonquilla, Narcissus poeticus, Narcissus papyraceus were evaluated for molecular characterization.
