Objectives of the thesis: Research to clarify the main chemical composition of two species of G. glomerulatum, G. hirsutum in Vietnam. Evaluation of toxic activity cells of isolated compounds to search for bioactive compounds, as a scientific basis for further research to create care products health for the community and contribute to explaining the curative effect of these species.

Temperature effects on the kinetic properties of phosphofructokinase (PFK) purified from skeletal muscle of the golden-mantled ground squirrel, Spermophilus lateralis, were examined at 37 C and 5C, values character-istic of body temperatures in euthermia vs. hibernation. The enzyme showed reduced sensitivity to all activators at 5C, theKa values for AMP, ADP, NH4 + and F2,6P2 were 3–11-fold higher at 5C than at 37C. Inhibition by citrate was not affected whereas phosphoenolpyruvate, ATP and urea became more potent inhibitors at low temperature. ...

Rabbit characteristics: Two pairs of upper incisors; second pair small and peg-like, located just behind the front pair. Perforated lace-like texture of bone on side of skull in front of eye socket. (Both features not found in rodents). Long and pointed large ears. Arched upper profile of skull. Strong extension of spine where neck vertebrae meet thoracic vertebrae. Strong extension of middle tail vertebrae, raising tufted tail. Relatively thin, delicate bones. Rear-projecting "metacromion" from lower end of shoulder blade (for insertion of trapezius and omotransversarius muscles).
