Poly(butylene terephthalate) based novel stationary phase (SP), composed of planar aromatic phenyl group together with ester group monomer units, was designed for supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) use. As expected from its structure, this phase shows planarity recognition of isomeric aromatics and closely similar compounds.

Modern analytical applications of liquid chromatography require more and more efficient columns. In this work, the possibility of utilizing particle size gradient in the chromatographic column was studied by a theoretical approach. In the course of our work three different scenarios of particle size gradients were considered with different shapes (linear, convex and concave).

The enantioselective separation of newly synthesized fluorine-substituted β-phenylalanines has been performed utilizing Cinchona alkaloid-based ion-exchanger chiral stationary phases. Experiments were designed to study the effect of eluent composition, counterion content, and temperature on the chromatographic properties in a systematic manner.
