Changes in quality of broccoli stored under modified atmosphere packaging in polymeric films

The study was under taken to assess the impact of differential in-pack gaseous conditions generated through modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) using different packaging films (low density polyethylene (LDPE) and polypropylene (PP), having thickness 150 guage and bag area 0.14m2 ) with and without perforations and variable head space (HS) on the quality of broccoli stored for 10 days at 15°C and relative humidity (RH) of 75%.

Effect of packaging conditions on sensory parameters of bengal gram, gram dhal and gram flour during storage

The study of sensory parameters for stored samples of Bengal gram, gram dhal and gram flour in different were observed at every interval of 30 days. Samples were kept in laminated LDPE bags under different packaging conditions i.e. vacuum packaging, modified atmosphere packaging and ambient conditions for 120 days. The effect of packaging on the sensory parameters of stored samples viz., colour, appearance, flavor, texture, taste and overall acceptability were found by 9 point Hedonic Scale.

Effect of post harvest treatments and storage conditions on physico-chemical properties of starking delicious apples

Freshly harvested apple fruits of cultivar Starking Delicious were subjected to different treatment combinations. Then, the fruits were stored under ambient conditions, refrigerated storage and controlled atmosphere (CA) storage for six months and further analyzed for physico-chemical parameters such as fruit firmness, total soluble solids, titratable acidity, total sugars and total phenols. Effects of aloe vera gel coatings on the postharvest quality of honeydew melons (Cucumis melo l.) stored under atmospheric condition

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of Aloe vera gel coating on postharvest quality of honeydew melon cv. Ngan Huy under atmospheric conditions. The fresh fruits were completely immersed into Aloe vera gel solutions at different concentrations of 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70% at room temperature for 5 minutes. Tween 80 0.05%, CMC 1%, and glycerol 2% were added in the coating solutions.
