Student writing process

The researcher carries out this study with two purposes. Firstly, the study aims at investigating the student‟s attitudes towards using peer feedback in their writing lessons. Secondly, the study explores the effectiveness of using peer feedback in writing lessons in the process of enhancing the student‟s improvement in writing.

The study tested three null hypotheses and a total of 350 participants were randomly selected from four senior secondary schools in Ibadan North Local Government Area, Nigeria. Data was collected using two research instruments and the results showed a positive non-significant relationship between the independent variables and students’ achievement in narrative essay.

The entire process has five steps, but the first step in the writing process is coming up with your thoughts and ideas, also known as prewriting. Prewriting helps students gather ideas and give them a bank of possibilities for their writing.
