Intra-abdominal pregnancies, while rare, present with unique diagnostic and management challenges. We present a case of a 25-year-old para 2+1, black African woman, who was referred from a peripheral Health Centre level IV in the Northern part of Uganda to a Regional Referral Hospital due to an abnormal presentation with easily palpable fetal parts.

Uterine inversion is a clinical condition characterized by the folding of the uterine fundus into the uterine cavity or beyond the cervix. Chronic uterine inversions that manifest seven years after delivery are extremely rare, despite the fact that both acute and chronic uterine inversions are infrequent.

To present a case of successful pregnancy outcome in a granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) patient with renal insufficiency. GPA, formerly known as Wegener’s granulomatosis, is a rare necrotizing systemic vasculitis, presenting with classical clinical triad of manifestations involving upper and lower airway and glomerulonephritis.

The use of Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) system to treat medically refractory neuropathic pain is increasing. Severe neuropathic pain can be found in giant chest wall arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), exceedingly rare and debilitating abnormalities, rarely reported during pregnancy.

Porcine embryos undergo rapid differentiation and expansion between Days 8 and 12 before attaching to the maternal uterine epithelial surface after Day 13. It is known that maternal recognition of pregnancy and successful implantation are driven by mutual interactions between the elongated conceptus and the maternal endometrium.

Subfertility is one challenge facing the dairy industry as the average Holstein heifer conception rate (HCR), the proportion of heifers that conceive and maintain a pregnancy per breeding, is estimated at 55–60%. Of the loci associated with HCR, few have been validated in an independent cattle population, limiting their usefulness for selection or furthering our understanding of the mechanisms involved in successful pregnancy.

Fetal mummification in canine is not so common. It happens when fetus died after one third of pregnancy and fetal fluid gets resorbed leading to shriveling placenta around the fetus. In canines papyreous type of mummification takes place. In papyreous mummification the fetal fluid gets resorbed and placenta becomes adhered to the fetus. Present case deals with the successful management of canine fetal mummification along with delivery of two live fetuses.

Pregnancy is an unquantifiable risk to accelerate tumor growth of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), and whether pregnancy induces an unfavorable prognosis of radioiodine refractory papillary thyroid carcinoma (RR-PTC) remains unknown.

Astrocytomas are the most common malignant glial tumors. With improved prognosis, it is possible for patients to pursue pregnancy post-treatment. However, with potential gonadotoxicity of oncology treatments, fertility preservation prior to chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy should be considered.

(BQ) The text provides the basis for practical skill development with a strong foundation in research synthesis founded on evidence-based medicine so that pregnancy has a successful outcome. The book, too, draws attention to the need for a multidisciplinary approach that will maximize whole-person care of the pregnant diabetic woman.

Hydrometra is one of the causes of infertility in goats and this condition is also called as pseudo pregnancy or cloud burst. A primiparous non-descript doe aged two and half years was presented to Referral veterinary polyclinic (Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstetrics section) of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar with distended abdomen and history of breeding five months back. On ventral abdominal palpation and per-vaginal examination, no any fetal structures or palpable mass was felt. All the vital parameters were within the normal range.

Placental defects in somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) are a major cause of complications during pregnancy. One of the most critical factors for the success of SCNT is the successful epigenetic reprogramming of donor cells.

Since the introduction of in vitro fertilization (IVF) in 1978, over five million babies have been born worldwide using IVF. Contrary to the perception of many, IVF does not guarantee success. Almost 50% of couples that start IVF will remain childless, even if they undergo multiple IVF cycles. The decision to start or pursue with IVF is challenging due to the high cost, the burden of the treatment, and the uncertain outcome. In optimal counseling on chances of a pregnancy with IVF, prediction models may play a role, since doctors are not able to correctly predict pregnancy chances.

Human trophoblast invasion and differentiation are essential for successful pregnancy outcome. The molecular mechanisms, however, are poorly understood. Interleukin (IL)-11, a cytokine, regulates endometrial epithelial cell adhesion. Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) is one of the key cytokines in the embryo implantation regulation. The present study aimed to assess the levels of LIF, IL-11, and IL-11 a receptor gene expression in the endometrium of women undergoing IVF and correlate their levels with the IVF pregnancy outcome.

Abstract Background. Medical termination of pregnancy can be successfully performed with a combination of mifepristone (RU 486) and a prostaglandin analogue. We conducted a prospective, randomized trial to compare oral with vaginal administration of the prostaglandin E1 analogue misoprostol for first-trimester abortion in women treated initially with mifepristone. Methods. The study population consisted of 270 women seeking abortion within 63 days after the onset of amenorrhea. The dose of mifepristone was 600 mg, and the dose of misoprostol was 800 mg.

Prepare a descriptive location analysis of the key elements of your market area that have contributed to the success of your present location. Prepare an interior floor plan for one or two standard location sizes. What size and configuration works best for your business? Finally, create a master business procedures manual with a step-by-step explanation of your day- to-day business operation and prepare the accompanying financial supports (i.e. cash flow projections, start-up costs, working capital requirements).

ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits measure the workload of a fulltime student during one academic year. The student workload of a full-time study programme in Europe amounts in most cases to around 1 500 to 1 800 hours per year and in those cases one credit stands for around 25 to 30 working hours. • Credits in ECTS can only be obtained after successful completion of the work required and appropriate assessment of the learning outcomes achieved.
