An investigation on effect of sowing time on growth, phenology and yield attribute of summer groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) was conducted at Agrometeorological Station Farm, School of Forestry and Environment, SHIATS-Deemed-To-Be-University, Allahabad during crop season 2013. Sixteen treatment combinations with four dates of sowing (1st March, 11th March, 21st March and 31st March) and four varieties (HNG-69, R-2 (Girnar-2), HNG-10 and M-13) were tried in split plot design with four replications.

An experiment was conducted at Seed Quality Research Laboratory of National Seed Project, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad during 2016-2017 to evaluate the effect of packaging materials and forms on storability of groundnut Cv. G2-52.The groundnut is stored both in the form of pods and kernels, and they were stored in four different packaging materials like PICS (Perdue improved crop storage) bag, HDPE (High density polythene bag) bag, polythene bag (700 gauge), and gunny bag.

Nineteen groundnut genotypes were screened for physiological characters, chlorophyll content and nitrate reductase activity at 30 DAS (pre-anthesis) and 60 DAS (post-anthesis) along with kernel yield during the Pre-summer. Leaf chlorophyll content and nitrate reductase activity plays a considerable role in plant metabolism.

Genetic variation and association among nine characters were studied in 34 advanced breeding lines of groundnut for WUE and yield related traits during summer 2015. Higher estimates of PCV and GCV were recorded for Pod Yield per plant followed by Kernel Yield per plant and Pods per plant indicating the presence of sufficient variability between advanced breeding lines.

The experiment was conducted during the Zaid season 2018 at Prayagraj to study the Sulphur and Plant Growth Regulators on Growth, Yield and Oil percentage of Summer Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.). The experiment comprised of 2 factors and 13 treatments viz. Sulphur (30, 40, 50 kg ha-1 ) and Plant growth regulators (NAA 50 ppm (at 20 DAS alone & at 20, 40 DAS), GA3 30 ppm (at 20 DAS alone & at 20, 40 DAS)) and control. Sulphur and Plant growth regulators application significantly influenced the growth, yield attributing characters, yield and oil content over control.

Late leaf spot caused by Phaeoisariopsis personata is the most important disease on groundnut worldwide. Although fungicide treatment is effective, it is uneconomical to use because of high cost, hazardous to environment and insensitivity build up in pathogen. The deployment of resistant cultivars is a better option to control LLS disease in groundnut the investigation was undertaken to determine the mode of genetic inheritance of LLS resistance in two F2 and F3 segregating populations of groundnut.
