A field experiment was conducted at College of Agriculture, Padannakkad, Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur, Kerala, India to study the effect of hydrogel (super absorbent polymer) and mulching on physical and chemical properties of sandy soil in maize (Zea mays L.). The experiment was conducted in factorial randomized block design having two factors with three levels each and one additional control.
