Previous research suggests that the inconsistent results about the relationship between supplier chain integration and performance are due to incomplete and inappropriate conceptualization of supply chain integration dimensions. Therefore, since the resource-based view has been recognized as the most suitable framework to understand these capabilities, we identify and examine routines bundles that make up them. This paper contributes to expand the organizational routines research and provide theoretical guideline for future research in the supply chain management field.

This research is a single case study of the impact of the introduction of both information technology (software, hardware and Internet) and a company policy about IT use on the internal operations of a fire truck assembly company and its supply chain relationships. Using Action Research, the research focuses on a fire truck assembly company in Thailand, where supply chain efficiency was not improving and where costs of, and relationships with, both upstream suppliers and downstream clients in the supply chain were increasing.

This study addresses the question: “How do small and medium Asian grocery retailers (SMAGRs) manage their relationships with suppliers in relation to their power positions under different circumstances?” Using the Kraljic matrix as its analytical base, this study incorporates power relations, in addition to the strategic importance and supply risks of the items purchased, as a third dimension to examine the relationship management strategies SMAGRs used to deal with different suppliers.

This paper examines the impact of supplier relationship management on the operational performance of firms. The data was collected from 304 manufacturing plants in 4 Asian countries in the period 2013-2015. The results of statistical descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis indicate that supplier relationship management has a positive relationship with operational performance.
