Surface morphological investigations
-
Results of this investigation have been correlated with the films structural and optical properties. Among the structural properties, surface roughness and morphology, and crystalline quality of the films have been obtained by using the XRD and AFM methods. Additionally, optical properties such as band gap tune-ability and dielectric constant have been determined by spectroscopic ellipsometer.

Keterite Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films were fabricated by spray pyrolysis deposition using aqueous precursor solutions with and without the addition of HCl. The effects of HCl on the crystallinity, morphology and photovoltaic properties of CZTS thin films were investigated. The results showed that the presence of HCl had significant effects on the crystal growth, grain size, and surface morphology of the fabricated CZTS thin films resulting in the improvement of the photovoltaic properties of the solar cell.

This study described the performance of carbon nanofiber modified chitosan (CNF@CS) composite microspheres for the controlled release of the Ibrutinib (IBR) drug. Molecular dynamics simulations were conducted to investigate Ge thin film growth on Si substrates. The growth mode, surface morphology, and the layer coverage ratio of Ge atoms were investigated. The surface of the Ge thin film is not smooth, voids and vacancies are highly formed as the incident energy is lower than 0.1 eV.

The physical and electrochemical behaviors of BDD electrode are clarified in this work. The surface morphology of BDD is investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) before and after electrolysis in different conditions. TiO2 and Fe-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal method in order to study the effect of ion doping (Fe) on enhancing photocatalytic activity of TiO2. The band gap, morphology and specific surface area of TiO2 and Fe-doped TiO2 were investigated by step-wise increasing Fe3+ concentrations from 0.05 to 1.00 wt.%.

Celecoxib is a poorly water-soluble nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Here we report four ordered mesoporous silica MCM-41 supports with different particle size, pore volume, and surface properties to investigate their loading capacity with celecoxib and their release abilities. Spherical MCM-41 mesoporous supports less than 50 nm in diameter were prepared and to compare the effect of the template removal process on morphology of samples, acid extraction and calcination methods were used.

In the current research, the sulfonated metal–organic framework loaded on iron oxide nanoparticles, Fe3O4@MIL100(Fe)-OSO3H, has been synthesized and utilized as a Fenton-like catalyst for the decolorization of aqueous solutions containing methyl orange (MO) dye as a model organic pollutant. Mixed-phased Inx Sey thin film containing InSe, In2 Se3 and In6 Se7 phases was prepared by M-CBD method and characterized by X-ray diffraction, AFM, optical spectroscopy and J-V measurements. In the present study the nanocapsulation of Haloxyfop-R-methyl in poly(methyl methacrylate) was successfully performed. Poly(methyl methacrylate)/Haloxyfop-R-methyl nanocapsules were synthesized using a miniemulsion method and their surface morphology was studied by scanning electron microscopy and transition electron microscopy. The chemical characterization of nanocapsules was done by FT-IR spectroscopy. The herbicide loading and encapsulation efficiency were also analyzed for the herbicide-loaded nanocapsules.

Chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (CPVC)/calcium carbonate nanocomposites were successfully prepared by the incorporation of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) nanoparticles into the CPVC matrix. The compatibility between the two phases was obtained by surface modification of the CaCO3 nanoparticles with stearic acid, leading to improved material performance. The effects of the addition of different amounts of CaCO3 nanoparticles to the CPVC on the thermal, mechanical, and morphological characteristics of the CPVC/CaCO3 nanocomposites were investigated.

In the present study, we successfully prepared two different electrospun polyacrylonitrile (PAN) based-activated carbon nanofiber (ACNF) composites by incorporation of well-distributed Fe2O3 and Co3O4 nanoparticles (NPs). The influence of metal oxide on the structural, morphological, and textural properties of final composites was thoroughly investigated. The results showed that the morphological and textural properties could be easily tuned by changing the metal oxide NPs.

The present investigation is emphasized on the effect of various combustion agents on the crystal properties, surface microstructure, and oxygen ion conductivity of 20% mole-Sm doped ceria (Ce0.80Sm0.20O1.90/SDC20) ceramics as solid electrolyte for ITSOFCs. The most widely used combustion agents for engineering ceramic production as ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, L-alanine, L-valine, glycine, citric acid monohydrate, urea, and EDTA-citric acid were compared in terms of SDC20 properties.

This study mainly centers on the preparation and characterization of the cross-linked poly(NVP) microspheres by means of inverse suspension polymerization technique. The effect of the cross-linker content, the volumetric ratio of dispersed phase to suspension phase (DP/CP), agitation rate, and the reaction temperature on the characteristics of the microparticles were investigated meticulously using SEM, and the optimum preparation conditions were determined.

The aim of this research work was to study the effect of deposition current density on microstructure and surface morphology of electrodeposited nickel coatings. For this purpose, nickel deposits have been synthesized by direct current from Watts bath without additive, to limit the incorporation of pollutants resulting from surface adsorption or electro-activity of these compounds. Nickel deposits have been investigated by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Cyclic voltammetry was also used to gain information on the general behavior of the deposition.
