  • The present work wants to assess the environmental and energetic sustainability of 27 European countries. To this aim, a Multi-criteria decision analysis and an analytical hierarchy process has been implemented to gather and process information from the experts. Results show that only four countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Austria) present very significant performances. The intervention of policymakers must be clear, by penalizing nonresponsible behavior, encouraging the development of circular and green practices, also through the exploitation of subsidies.

  • This study aims to measure the effectiveness of energy access based on the indicators of the seventh sustainable developmet goals (SDGs) in 50 countries that are members of the OIC during the period 2010-2017. Efficiency measurements are carried out using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. The productivity measurement is done by using the Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI). The results showed that Yemen was the country that had the highest rate of increase with a TFP value of 1.194.   • The objective of the article was to analyze the issue of developing energy price formation by various countries in the context of component structure of the cost per energy unit for households. For conducting the research the principles “Expenses +” and Regulatory Asset Base were used. Amethodological author’s approach related to the estimation of pricing level for energy resources based on Energy Pricing Index was proposed. The highest gas prices are in Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, France and Ireland that relates not so much to gas market as to the prime cost of green electricity.

  • The field experiments on green gram was carried out during four consecutive years 2016 to 2019 at farmer’s field of Bikaner districts under cluster frontline demonstrations conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bikaner to evaluate improved technology for enhancing the productivity and economics of green gram crop. Two treatments were evaluated at 25 farmers and comprised of improved technology (i.e. high yielding varieties, seed treatment, timely sowing, recommended fertilizer management, plant protection measures and irrigation management compared with farmer’s practice.

  • On farm demonstrations were conducted during kharif seasons of 2013 to 2015 at farmer’s field in Chambal command area of Rajasthan under Operational Research Programme of Agricultural Research Station, Kota to study the impact of improved water management technology on the water productivity and sustainability of rice.   • The research results show that the vulnerability index of the Dong Nai River basin in the province of Lam Dong is also spatially differentiated and in general, the value of the vulnerability index is at a moderate level (VI = 0.23). It is observed that the Vulnerability Index for the Dong Nai - Lam Dong River basin comes mainly from management challenges, followed by stresses due to resource use, pressure from development. Assessing the vulnerability of basin water resources is the basis for scientists to devise appropriate management solutions towards sustainable development.

  • Crop diversification with resource efficient and remunerative cropping systems is a sustainable agricultural practice. On farm demonstrations with diversified cropping system of Redgram + soybean Vis-a-Vis farmers’ practice of sole cotton were conducted in ten farmer’s locations of Warangal district of Telangana state. Crop diversification with red gram + soybean realized 29.9% higher (3706 kg ha-1 ) mean cotton kapas equivalent yield over farmer’s practice of cultivation of sole cotton (2852 kg ha-1 ).   • A field experiment was conducted at KVK, Kalburgi, on black soils. The zero tillage practices were followed since 3 years in five main plots and different reduced nutrient levels were imposed as subplots, by following split plot design. Every year same crop pigeonpea genotype TS-3R was grown. The prophylactic measures were undertaken against pests and diseases. Biological observations were analysed at 50 per cent flowering.
