Sustainable utilization

Tien Yen, Quang Ninh is a locality with a favorable geographical position, a place of convergence and connection of ethnic groups in the Northeast of Vietnam. In this paper, multiple approaches, and model of preserving and utilizing Tien Yen cultural heritage to meet the goal of sustainable development are also discussed.

In this study, we investigate using acrylic and acrylic-styrene emulsions as curing solution to enhance water resistance and prevent cracking in cement concrete surfaces. Our main objective is to investigate the possibilities of utilizing washing waste generated during the Rhomn & Haas factory - Dow Chemical Vietnam production process. This waste is currently being treated as solid even though it contains anywhere from 10 – 45 % solid content.

Wastes generated from healthcare practices are a serious problem for humans as well as for the environment. In this study, an attempt was made to use mixed solid medical waste (WPN) which consisted of shredded waste plastic and chopped waste needles for partial replacement of natural fine aggregate (sand) in concrete mixes at 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10% by weight.

Based on life forms and used parts, distributing habitats, we suggest the medical plants at Phia Oac - Phia Den National Park would be exploited within scrubs or grasslands, agricultural ecosystems and in some areas under the canopy of plantation forests in the purpose of natural resource sustainable utilization integrated with local economic development.
