The conclusion of this study, to overcome the lack of service of government apparatus in serving the community, the concept of service apparatus is harmonized with the vision of a mental revolution that emphasizes the work ethic and the spirit of mutual cooperation. The recommendation given is the existence of a synergistic social movement between the government and the community in routine activities starting from the scope of the family, school to the community.

Ebook "Food emulsifiers and their applications (Second edition)" has focused on the design and application of emulsifiers as versatile food ingredients. The second edition has updated and expanded applications, from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The first three chapters describe design, synthesis, analysis, and commercial preparation of emulsifiers. Synergistic and antagonistic interactions with other food ingredients, such as carbohydrates, proteins, and water, are discussed in the next three chapters.

We report herein a new chemical platform for coupling chitosan derivatives to antimicrobial peptide dendrimers (AMPDs) with different degrees of ramification and molecular weights via thiol-maleimide reactions. Previous studies showed that simple incorporation of AMPDs to polymeric hydrogels resulted in a loss of antibacterial activity and augmented cytotoxicity to mammalian cells.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) constitutes 10–20% of breast cancers and is challenging to treat due to a lack of effective targeted therapies. Previous studies in TNBC cell lines showed in vitro growth inhibition when JQ1 or GSK2801 were administered alone, and enhanced activity when co-administered.

PHI-101 is an orally available, selective checkpoint kinase 2 (Chk2) inhibitor. PHI-101 has shown antitumour activity in ovarian cancer cell lines and impaired DNA repair pathways in preclinical experiments. Furthermore, the in vivo study suggests the synergistic effect of PHI-101 through combination with PARP inhibitors for ovarian cancer treatment.

Prevascularization and mechanical stimulation have been reported as effective methods for the construction of functional bone tissue. However, their combined effects on osteogenic differentiation and its mechanism remain to be explored. Here, the effects of fluid shear stress (FSS) on osteogenic differentiation of rat bone-marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) when cocultured with human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were investigated, and underlying signaling mechanisms were further explored.

A complete liquid phase technology and a function regulator were applied to prepare CuZnAl catalysts for higher alcohol synthesis. Characterizations showed that the introduction of the function regulator can change the reduction ability of copper oxides and the surface basicity of catalysts. Activity tests indicated that the selectivity of higher alcohol is high when considerable medium-strong basicity and the synergistic effects of copper ion and metal copper exist on the catalytic surface.

Signaling through VEGF/VEGFR induces cancer angiogenesis and affects immune cells. An increasing number of studies have recently focused on combining anti-VEGF/VEGFR agents and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) to treat cancer in preclinical and clinical settings. BD0801 is a humanized rabbit anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody in the clinical development stage.

A set of catalysts having gold nanoparticles deposited on γ-Al2O3 (Au/γ-Al2O3) with lowest effective amount of gold content were prepared by successive impregnation and hydrogen reduction method. The structural features of prepared catalysts were analysed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 physisorption, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). The catalytic activity was evaluated for the reduction of an organic pollutant 4-nitrophenol (4NP) to 4-aminophenol (4AP) by spectrophotometric analysis.

In this study, we determined that EBR induces stress responses through activating Akt, which reduced the mTOR complex I (mTORC1) activation in SW480 and DLD-1 colon cancer cells. As a consequence, EBR triggered macroautophagy and led to lipidation of LC3 most efficiently in SW480 cells. The cotreatment of spermidine (Spd) with EBR increased lipidation of LC3 synergistically in both cell lines. We also found that EBR promoted polyamine catabolism in SW480 cells. The retention of polyamine biosynthesis was remarkable following EBR treatment.

The grain yield of cereals is determined by the synergistic interaction between source activity and sink capacity. However, source-sink interactions are far from being fully understood. Therefore, a field experiment was performed in wheat to investigate the responses of flag leaves and grains to sink/source manipulations.

We earlier showed that 4-phenylbutyrate (PB) can induce cathelicidin LL-37 expression synergistically with 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 in a lung epithelial cell line. We aimed to evaluate a therapeutic dose of PB alone or in combination with vitamin D3 for induction of LL-37 expression in immune cells and enhancement of antimycobacterial activity in monocyte-derived macrophages (MDM).

IL-17A directly induces epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in alveolar epithelial cells. It could coordinate with cigarette smoke extract (CSE) to promote proliferation of bronchial epithelial cells. In this study, we aim to explore the direct effect of IL-17A and CSE on EMT in bronchial epithelial cells.

Polysaccharide monooxygenases (PMOs) catalyze oxidative degradation of recalcitrant carbohydrate chains in cellulose, starch, and chitin. In biofuel industry, the conversion of rich lignocellulose source to fermentable sugars by hydrolytic cellulases can be synergistically boosted by cellulose-active PMOs (AA9 PMOs) found in a vast number of fungi that grow on biomass.

In this study, linoleic acid is obtained by hydrolysis of soybean oil in ethanol/KOH, separation and enrichment using the urea-fatty acid complex formation method for the fractionation of fatty acids. The process involves the formation at 60 ◦C of a homogeneous solution of free fatty acid and urea in 95% ethanol, followed by cooling the resultant urea complex slurry to -5 ◦C and separation by filtration.
