Advances in cancer biology are increasingly dependent on integration of heterogeneous datasets. Large-scale efforts have systematically mapped many aspects of cancer cell biology; however, it remains challenging for individual scientists to effectively integrate and understand this data.

To address this problem, we proposed a new algorithm based on a hash data structure which performs more quickly in itemsets filtering and problem modeling. Experiment evaluations are conducted on real world and synthetic datasets.

Text-To-Speech (TTS) was one of nine shared tasks in the eighth annual international VLSP 2021 workshop. All three previous TTS shared tasks were conducted on reading datasets. However, the synthetic voices were not natural enough for spoken dialog systems where the computer must talk to the human in a conversation.

This paper focuses on exploring Machine learning methods to automate this process. The main challenge we face is in generating adequate training datasets to train the Machine learning model. Creating training data by manually segmenting real images is very labour-intensive, so we have instead tested methods of automatically creating synthetic training datasets which have the same attributes of the original images. The generated synthetic images are used to train a U-net Model, which is then used to segment the original bread dough images.

This paper resolves the problem of detecting small drones in surveillance videos using deep learning algorithms. Single Shot Detector (SSD) object detection algorithm and MobileNet-v2 architecture as the backbone were used for our experiments. The pretrained model was re-trained on custom drone synthetic dataset by using transfer learning’s fine-tune technique. The results of detecting drone in our experiments were around 90.8%.

This paper contributes an efficient denoising method for low-dose CT images. A noisy image is decomposed into three component images of low, medium and high frequency bands; noise is mainly presented in the medium and high component images. Then, by exploiting the fact that a small image patch of the noisy image can be approximated by a linear combination of several elements in a given dictionary of noise-free image patches generated from noise-free images taken at nearly the same position with the noisy image, noise in these medium and high component images are effectively eliminated.

This paper presents a comparative study of two different forward methods such as the space domain method and the frequency domain method. The performance of each method was evaluated on two synthetic models. Finally, the more effective method was applied to calculate Bouguer gravity anomaly in the East Vietnam Sea and adjacent areas using the latest available dataset from the TOPEX mission.

This paper studies performance effects of appointing other firms' executive directors to corporate boards in the UK. Consistent with the explicit advantages associated with non-executive directors, as set out in the various UK corporate governance codes, our basic hypothesis maintains that, in the presence of director fixed effects, the appointment of an executive director as non-executive director will have a positive impact on the appointing company‟s performance.

Individuals are then identified as workers and nonworkers (i.e., the unemployed and the respective dependents/ spouses of workers). Workers are assigned employer wage distribution characteristics from EDD 2007 data based on firm size and insurance offer status from their MEPS record. e firms are then statistically matched to the Employer Sponsored Insurance (ESI) data from the 2010 CEHBS, which contains additional information on the actuarial value of the health plans offered.
