The aim of this study was to identify and retrieve vitamin D supplementation recommendations in infants in the Asia Pacific region from fifteen Asian countries: Korea, Japan, China, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, and Philippines.

Boehmeria pilosiuscula has two varieties, including Boehmeria pilosiuscula var. pilosiuscula distributed in north-eastern and southeastern India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Philippines, Indonesia and Boehmeria pilosiuscula var. suffruticossa distributed in China (Hainan, Taiwan), Myanmar, and Thailand. This paper provides a detailed morphological description, distribution map, ecological information, and a color photoplate of this taxon.

This paper tries to explore the relationship between Taiwan stock market and commodity market and American stock market. There are six variables with total 213 observations for each variable by using monthly data from the periods of October 1997 to June 2015. Model 1 examines commodity market including gold price（LLG, crude oil price（WTI, USD index (USDX）and Taiwan stock market.

In this paper, first, we use GJR-GARCH (1,1)-t to fit both Taiwan and Chinese stock markets. Second, we deploy conditional t copula to measure correlation between Taiwan and Chinese stock markets. Finally, we follow the procedure of Gombay and Horvath (1996) and Dias and Embrechts (2004, 2009) to test the unknown correlation change between these two markets.

These economies have successfully escaped from the middle income group to join high income economies with amazing growth rate. This study examined the impact of some antecedents of green PI among consumers in Vietnam and Taiwan, focusing on the indirect impact of materialistic values (through attitude). All five hypotheses received support from the Vietnam data, confirming the significant impacts of materialistic values (i.e. success and happiness) on attitude, and all three antecedents from the TPB model (i.e. attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control) as positive predictors of green PI.

International student flows have been well-recognized in the higher education literature. Though traditional movement of student mobility is from developing to Western countries, new pattern of intra-regional movement is also noted. This study, therefore, aim to re-examine pushpull factors in affecting international student’s decision-making within Asian countries. NMR, X-ray analysis, and CD methods are powerful techniques for the study of absolute configuration of bioactive compounds from natural resources. This study presents the results of a joint-study between Vietnam and Taiwan on the bioactive compounds obtained from Vietnamese plants and fungi. Among the tested compounds, hexatenuin A displayed the most significant inhibition of superoxide anion generation and elastase release. These triterpenoids may be used as potential anti-inflammatory agents.

The genus Nedyopus Attems, 1914 consisting of 22 known species and subspecies is distributed mainly in East Asia (Japan, Taiwan) and expansively occurs in Vietnam (three species). The paper presents taxonomy and diagnosis of three Nedyopus species recorded in Vietnam: N. dawydoffiae (Attems, 1953), N. mahunkai (Korsós & Golovatch, 1989) and N. pictus (Brölemann, 1916). Of those, N. mahunkai has been widely known in northeastern Vietnam, and N. dawydoffiae has been found in southern Vietnam. The species N. pictus has been recorded only in Tam Dao National Park.

During the years of 2006 - 2007, about five food poisoning cases with fatalities caused by marine snails reported in coastal areas of Vietnam. From stock over of poisoning materials from three out of five cases, causative species were identified as Nassarius papillosus, Nassasius (Alectrion) glans glans, N. (Zeuxis) comptus and Natica (Natica) fasciata. These species also caused poisonings in several countries such as Japan, the Philippines, Brunei and Taiwan.
