Targeted parenting programmes

Deliberate Self-Harm (DSH) is a common problem among children and adolescents in clinical and community populations, and there is a considerable amount of literature investigating factors associated with DSH risk and the effects of DSH on the child. However, there is a dearth of research examining the impact of DSH on parents, and there are few support programmes targeted at this population.

There is substantial evidence for the efficacy and effectiveness of targeted parenting programmes but much less evidence regarding universal parenting programmes. However, it is highly susceptible to blast disease, caused by the fungal pathogen Pyricularia oryzae. The near isogenic line C101LAC derived from LAC23 possessing Pi-1 gene was selected as donor, which is located on chromosome 11. The MAS useful to develop resistance line with highest recurrent parent genome within a short period. The C101LAC carrying resistant gene Pi-1 was crossed with Samba Mahsuri to generate the mapping populations.

School setting: Skills-based health education and life skills can and have been incorporated in many settings and for a wide range of target groups. In this document, we focus on school-based programmes. Education reform ensures a place for skills-based health education in the curriculum and in various extra-curricular efforts. Special programmes for students and parents, peer education and counselling programmes, and school/community programmes offer ways for students to apply and practise what they learn.

Developing initiatives to increase public understanding of the important developmental needs and milestones for children, as well as information on supporting those milestones, is a critical way to promote social, emotional and behavioral health. Information about early childhood mental health, early indicators of risk and mental health disorders and ways that parents can best support their child’s early social and emotional development can be shared through a variety of means.
