  • Aristolochia austroyunnanensis S. M. Hwang (family Aristolochiaceae), a species endemic to southern China, is newly recorded for the flora of Vietnam. This newly recorded species belong to subgenus Siphisia and is most similar to Aristolochia petelotii O. C. Schmidt and Aristolochia fangchi C. Wu ex L. D. Chow & S. M. Hwang. Detailed morphological descriptions and color illustrations, together with information on distribution, habitat, phenology, and taxonomic notes are given. An identification key to all known Siphisia species in Vietnam is also provided.

  • The present work provides a taxonomic key to the genera of Polygonaceae found in Vietnam. It also reports the first occurrence of Persicaria runcinata in Lai Chau province, extending its known distribution within the country. Detailed photographic illustrations of the specimens studied accompany the findings. This extended distribution of P. runcinata could hold significant conservation implications, emphasizing the importance of further research and conservation efforts in the region.

  • A new free-living genus of the mycophagous tribe Brachineurini, Loborrhizomyia gen. nov., and its type species (Loborrhizomyia phaneroectata sp. nov.) and another new species (Loborrhizomyia aphanata sp. nov.) are described from the Caiyang River Nature Reserve, Pu’er, Yunnan, China. The new genus is characterized in the tribe Brachineurini by the unique gonostylus having a ventral lobe protruding to the distal.

  • A new species, Comalcandona gibsoni sp. nov., was found from Comal Springs, Comal County, Texas, USA. The new species has four horn-like projections located on the antero- and posterodorsal ends of the valves and this unique character separates this species from Comalcandona tressleri. Some other distinguishing differences in chaetotaxy (e.g., position, length, and number of setae on the segments) can also be seen in the soft body parts (e.g., absence of gamma seta on mandibula, duckbill shape of clasping organ of first leg, numbers of whorls in Zenker’s organ).

  • Species of the genus Temelucha Förster, 1869 (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Cremastinae) in Iran are taxonomically overviewed. Sampling was done using Malaise traps and sweeping nets in natural grasslands, forests, orchards and field crops during 2013–2017. Fifteen species are recorded and reviewed, among them 5 species Temelucha albipennis (Zetterstedt, 1838), T. flavia Vas, 2016, T.ophthalmica (Holmgren, 1860), T. pseudocaudata Kolarov, 1982, and T. variipes (Szépligeti, 1899) are new records for the fauna of Iran. T. convergence Zardouei & Rakhshani sp. nov. is described and illustrated.
