Rhodanthidium ordonezi (Dusmet, 1815) is recognized here as a valid species endemic to central and southern Morocco. It has previously been regarded as a subspecies of R. sticticum (Fabricius). The two taxa are in allopatry throughout most of their respective ranges, but probably cooccur in the Middle Atlas Mountains. They are clearly distinguished by their coloration and some aspects of their color patterns. Structural differences are minor, but a multivariate discriminant function analysis of 11 morphometric traits has showed that these are sufficient to assign 82.

A worldwide taxonomic revision and the relevant lectotypifications of Zoegea L. (Asteraceae) are presented. The recognized taxa, the relevant synonyms, type details, images of the type specimen, examined specimen lists, and a taxonomic key are provided for this genus. The geographic distribution of all recognized taxa is presented and tabulated. Zoegea leptaurea L. subsp. leptaurea for the floras of Iran and Saudi Arabia and also Z. purpurea Fresen. for the flora of Iraq are reported as new here.

The Southeast Asian Shrews (Crocidura dracula & C. fuliginosa) are so similar in external morphology and skull characters. Thus, their taxonomic status and distribution have debated for a long time. Recent researches provided the molecular identification which caused the change of outlook on occurrence area of these two species.

The outcomes of our integrative taxonomic analyses, viz. the combination of morphological and molecular datasets are publications of herpetofaunal lists for such regions, reserves or provinces, including first regional or country records of species or even new species discoveries (Ziegler & Nguyen 2015). Also species group revisions and positioning of poorly known or newly described species in phylogenetic trees help to better understand diversity and uncover cryptic, viz. hidden diversity.

The precise evaluation of the conservation status of endemic and rare species is necessary in order to prevent their extinction. According to our current taxonomic revision of Turkish Salvia L., the Mediterranean and Aegean geographic regions of Turkey have 60 taxa, 32 of which are endemic (mainly local endemics), 5 of which are non-endemic rare, and the remaining 23 taxa are widely distributed.

The genus Malcolmia W.T.Aiton is taxonomically problematic, and some of its species have recently beentransferred to the genera Strigosella Boiss. and Zuvanda Dvorák. Three species of this genus are native to Turkey. The revision studies based on molecular data, which were collected in the past few years, display the phylogenetic relations and the systematic positions of the taxa more reliably and apparently.
