This study is thus poised to augment the scholarly discourse on ESP pedagogy, underscoring its relevance and contextual nuances within the educational landscape of Vietnam. The results generally indicate the transfer of the teachers’ cognitions into their practices.

Their self-report active participation in the e-quizzes and follow-up teacher/peer feedback sessions demonstrated high levels of behavioral engagement. Students were, however, slightly less in agreement with the benefits of Quizizz in enhancing their self-monitoring and critical thinking skills. Some reservations remain about technical problems during quiz administration and the use of scores in Quizizz gamified tests for summative assessment purposes.

The research results showed the students‘ remarkably positive responses to and high evaluation of Audionote in improving the teacher‘ s feedback quality thanks to a variety of advantages including real-time comments which provided linguistic contexts for the teacher‘s feedback especially when the students encountered enormous cognitive load in simultaneous interpreting practices.

This paper considers teachers’ attitudes to assessment. The attitudes were explored through Borg’s (2015) Language Teacher Cognition Framework. A mixed-methods approach of questionnaire and interview was adopted. The online survey was completed by English language teachers working in 57 different countries worldwide. The questionnaire was divided into 3 sections. The first section included questions which related to the participants’ experiences of assessment at school.
