This study aimed to analyze relative competitiveness in technology trade by industry and technology between South Korea and Vietnam, which is Korea’s foremost technology trade partner. And then technical competitiveness by industry, technology, and type was analyzed with a tool that measures trade-specific indexes (TSI). TSI analysis revealed South Korea is highly technologically competitive relative to Vietnam, but technological competitiveness of its apparel, accessories, and fur industries is diminishing annually.

In the present study, GNPs/Ti-Fe binary oxide composites were synthesized from ilmenite of Central Viet Nam using hydrothermal method. The effect of amount of Fe on the morphology, structure and photocatalytic performance of prepared materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, UV–VIS Diffuse Reflectance spectrophotometer, Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and BET techniques.

The better-connected countries tend to have lower technology intensity if the technology has become obsolete. Finally, the third chapter is a theoretical approach to the technology diffusion. In particular, the technology diffusion across countries can be generalized as a learning process on networks. Based on a stylized learning model, this chapter examines the impact of the network structures on the speed of the diffusion process.

THE IMPACT OF NATIONAL CULTURE AND OTHER NATIONAL-LEVEL INDICATORS ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) DIFFUSION The above results thus suggest that the argument (Brennan and Buchanan, 1980; Hoxby, 2000a) that average school performance should be higher in markets with decentralized governance may not hold. The SAT data permit a direct test of this prediction, however.

As more and more firms start to do business internationally, multinational rivalry1 has naturally emerged as a field of interest among researchers in different disciplines (Ghoshal, 1987). Consequently, a large body of work has explored topics such as market entry (Buckley & Casson, 1998; Davis, Desai, & Francis, 2000), foreign direct investment (FDI) (Graham, 1990; Knickerbocker, 1973) and technology diffusion (Gupta & Govindarajan, 2000; Kim & Kogut, 1996) of multinational enterprises (MNEs).
