This study was conducted to identify the initial freezing point temperature (tf) of water and to investigate the changes of thermophysical properties of snakehead fish muscle during the chilling process.

This paper presents the study results on the effect of the chilled water temperature on the coefficient of performance (COP) of an experimental air-cooled chiller. The measuring sensors and instrument were calibrated, and the uncertainty of the measuring temperature and pressure were evaluated.

The properties of fresh goat meat in relation with post-mortem handling conditions were evaluated. There are various factors which affect the freshness of the meat the most important factors are storage temperature, time of exposure of meat to extrinsic factors and handling of carcass during and after slaughter. Hence a study was conducted to compare the physico chemical characteristics of chevon carcass hanged at room temperature for 6 hours and at chiller temperature for 30 hours.

Climate change is the most profound challenge over the international community in 21st century. It already affects livelihood and health of people worldwide and mostly people under poverty line. A few years ago snowfall was a regular phenomenon but from the past 20 years only 2-3 instances of snowfall are recorded particularly in Himachal Pradesh. There is an average increase in temperature of about 1.5ºC till October, whereas, 2-10% reduction in rainfall and 50-100 ppm increase in CO2 concentration has been observed, that reduce the apple yield.
