Nowadays, most of the mountainous provinces and central highland of Viet Nam’s forests area are decreasing in quality as well as quantity seriously. Consequence, the problem of environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious in Viet Nam such as soil erosion, climate changes, land slide, flood and drought, air pollution, water pollution, etc.

In this work, the impacts of TENORM (Technologically Enhanced Naturally Occuring Radioactive Materials) from fertilizer on soil and vegetable were estimated. The activity concentration of the natural radionuclides and then the annual effective dose rate due to ingestion of vegetable in the crops using fertilizers at the agricultural zone of Hoc Mon, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam were investigated.

Aims of the research "Testing adaptability of introduced asparagus in the Red River Delta, 2016-2017" was evaluation of adaptability of three heat tolerance varieties introduced from the Netherlands as Sunlim, K767 and K1867 in the Red River Delta, Vietnam. e growth characteristics, potential yield, brix of the roots, and pests and diseases were basically tested on the first harvest.

The gene of malPQ encoding 4-α-glucanotransferase (amylomaltase) is located in the malPQ operon of Escherichia coli K12. e reactions of the enzyme with several types of carbohydrate were carried out under the optimal conditions in an effort to understand the function of MalPQ enzyme in maltodextrin and glycogen metabolism of E. coli.

The article "Efficient use of crop residues for producing energy and enhancing soil carbon sequestration as climate smart practices in rural areas of Vietnam" presents results of research on the efficient use of crop residues in energy production and land carbon fixation in Ha Tinh, Yen Bai and Bac Lieu. MHH-IAE 003 was a product designed and tested by IAE, suitable for many kinds of materials such as: rice husk, sawdust, peanut husk, maize corn, wood chips.

The research "Market information transfer system (MITS) in the rice value chain in the Mekong delta, Vietnam" in the world indicated that MITS considerably influenced farmers’ production and trade, it increased the efficiency of agricultural production, the income of farmers and improved the living condition of farmers. However, studying and applying MITS in the reality in the Mekong delta of Vietnam were still limited.

Abiotic factors viz., atmospheric temperature, relative humidity, sunshine hours, rainfall, soil temperature and moisture play a crucial role in the development and sustainability of the soil mesofauna population. An experiment was carried out in Guava (Psidium guajava L.) ecosystem from October, 2015 to September, 2016. Soil and litter samples were drawn and mesofauna were extracted at fortnightly interval.

The research "Identifying factors affecting farmers’ adoption of cropping pattern conversion to two rice crops - One cash crop in Vi Tan commune, Hau Giang province" which aims at analyzing factors affecting farmers’ adoption of the 2 rice crops - 1 cash crop pattern was carried out in Vi Tan commune, Hau Giang province in 2017. In the study, data were collected from interviews with 120 farming households who converted their cropping pattern into 2 rice crops - 1 cash crop a year.

The study "Study on morphology, biology of Thrips palmi and efficiency of different concentration of neem leaf extract on dragon fruit" on this pest on dragon fruit has not yet been conducted. The growers at focus dragon fruit areas do not know the timing of peak thrips population, or which methods to use to control them. Thus, study on morphological and biological characteristics of Melon thrips and efficacy of some botanical and so insecticides to control the thrips on dragon fruit was performed.

The paper "Developing agroforestry production for sustainable poverty reduction and hunger eradication in the northern midland and mountainous region of Vietnam" also analysed relevant factors to highlight the opportunities to promote sustainable agriculture production. Based on that, suitable recommendations were also made to take the advantages and eliminate the drawbacks in order to promote the sustainable agroforestry production. The paper "The rural households’ choice of contract farming: A case study of subsequent effect of improved UPL and rice technology in Yunnan province, China" aims to identify the possible subsequent effect of IURT on the rural households’ choice of contract farming. The survey data of 508 households from 2000 to 2004, 141 households from 2007 and 252 households from 2010 were obtained, which were distributed from 20 villages in southern upland Yunnan, China.
