The already known species

Arisaema vietnamense is described as a new species from Pu Ta Leng Mountain in Tam Duong District of Lai Chau province. This find expands the hitherto Sino-Himalayan distribution of Arisaema sect. Nepenthoidea southwards to Vietnam, adding to the six sections with twenty six species already known for the country. The new taxon is described and illustrated with field photographs of detailed botanical characteristics.

The raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) was recorded for the first time in Turkey on May 10, 2019, and June 5, 2019, in the same location after 4668 nights of camera trapping in the forests of the Sarıkamış region and Allahuekber Mountains in eastern Turkey. It was recorded in a Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) forest at 2340 m above sea level with extensive snow cover. Given that the nearest known population is in the forests of Georgia approximately 105 km away, there may already be a viable population in Turkey.

The genus Brulleia Szépligeti, 1904 is recorded for the first time in Vietnam, three new species, namely Brulleia flavosoma Long, sp. n.; B. mellicrus Long, sp. n. and B. nigrisoma Long, sp. n., are described and illustrated. A key to Brulleia species from the Oriental region is provided. The checklist of the already known species of the genus Brulleia is also given.

New species of subgenus Areselonus Braet, 1999 and genus Odontosphaeropyx Cameron, 1910, viz. Chelonus (Areselonus) intermedius Long, sp. n. and Odontosphaeropyx plesius Long, sp. n. (Braconidae: Cheloninae) are described and illustrated. Additionally, these two rare taxa are newly recorded for Vietnam‟s braconid fauna. Up to now, twenty two nematodes species were recognized in the genus Daptonema Cobb, 1920 from mangrove, river and estuary ecosystems in Vietnam, of those, eighteen species were from Vietnam’s nematode fauna. Three species, D. dihystera Gagarin and Nguyen Vu Thanh, 2005, D. salvum Gagarin, Nguyеn Vu Thanh & Nguyen Thi Thu, 2005 and D. rigidum Gagarin, Nguyеn Vu Thanh & Nguyen Thi Thu, 2005 were found in fresh water, while other species were distributed in the mangrove forest, estuaries and seagrass ecosystem.

The genus Brulleia Szépligeti, 1904 was recorded for the first time in Vietnam, three new species, namely Brulleia flavosoma Long, sp. n.; B. mellicrus Long, sp. n. and B. nigrisoma Long, sp. n., were descripbed and illustrated. A key to Brulleia species from Vietnam is provided. The checklist of the already known species of the genus Brulleia is also given.

A new species, Billolivia cadamensis Q. D. Nguyen, N. L. Vu & H. T. Luu, sp. n. of the family Gesneriaceae is described from Quang Ngai Province, central Vietnam. The new taxon is close to B. tichii but differs in shorter stem, abaxially glabrous bracts, calyx divided into 5 lobes to base, outside pubescent apical half of corolla tube, oblong or deltoid corolla lobes, dense hairs on apical 3/4 of the ovary and white corolla lobes. A key to all already known species from Billolivia of Vietnam is given.
