The analytical strategy

This third edition of Analytical Chemistry for Technicians is the culmination and final product of a series of four projects funded by the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technological Education Program and two supporting grants from the DuPont Company. The grant funds have enabled me to utilize an almost limitless reservoir of human and other resources in the development and completion of this manuscript and to vastly improve and update the previous edition. A visible example is the CD that accompanies this book.

E-books have been introduced to educational institutions in many countries. The use of e-books in traditional classrooms enables the recording of learning logs. Recently, researchers have begun to carry out learning analytics on the learning logs of e-books. However, there has been limited attention devoted to understanding the types of learning strategies that students employ when they read e-books. In this paper, using e-book learning logs, we examine the learning strategies that students employed when reading e-books.

The study aims to assess the Vietnamese translation of English person reference forms, particularly “I - you” dyads in a literary text. To fulfill the purpose, House’s functional-pragmatic model (House, 2015), extended with Attitudinal resources of Appraisal theory (Martin & White, 2005), is adopted as the analytical framework for assessment. The data include 75 “I - you” dyads collected from “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (2014) and its Vietnamese translation “Harry Potter và Hòn đá phù thuỷ” (2016).

This article was aimed at studying the factor influence to close-knit family happiness of the northeastern rural households that have overseas migrating laborers using the quantitative research method and the household level as the analytical unit. Data collection was conducted in July, 2017 by means of interview with 334 households having overseas migrating members in Chaiyaphum, the province that has the second highest number of overseas migrating laborers. The analysis of data was based on descriptive statistics and Multiple Regression technique.
