  • Groundnut is an important oil seed crop in India cultivated in an area of 6.7 million hectares with a production of 7.0 million tonnes annually. The crop can be grown successfully in areas receiving the rainfall ranging from 600 to 1250 mm. The best soils for groundnut crop are sandy loam, loam and medium black with good drainage system. It produces about 1.5 to 1.9 million tonnes of blackgram annually from about 3.5 million hectares area, with an average productivity of 500 kg per hectares.   • The research on the okra was the analysis of growth is usually used to find out the trend analysis of area, production and yields over a period of time. The growth in the area, production and yield of okra crop in Chhattisgarh was estimated using the compound growth rate and production function of the five year data.   • Tobacco industry in India is one of the largest in the world with India having the largest area under tobacco cultivation. It plays an important role in the country’s economy. Compound annual growth rate and Cuddy-DelleVelle instability index were used to measure the growth and instability in export of tobacco from India. The necessary secondary data were collected for a period of 22 years from 1994-95 to 2015-16. There is a positive and significant growth rate in export of tobacco both in terms of quantity (6.20%) and value (14.25%) which was associated with a medium instability index.
