This paper presents the results of applying geoinformatics technology in early detection of forest fires in Vietnam. Two methods were used to detect forest fires, including (1) Using ground monitoring equipment: applying algorithms to detect smoke and fire from the series of "forest fire" recorded by IP Camera, characteristics of smoke, such as color, movement and expandable properties used in fire detection; accuracy of algorithm for fire detection with video frames is 97% and with image frames from digital cameras is 100%; Ground monitoring equipment can detect 84.

This study proposed a breathing rate monitoring strategy using a mono camera to track and detect sleep apnea phenomena. Breathing rates were first tracked among consecutive image frames. The human body area was then isolated and magnified using a deep neural network (DNN) model before applying the optical flow algorithm to extract and monitor the up and down changes caused by respiration.

Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) can detect images from cameras installed on self-driving cars. First, we drove a car on a simulator and recorded frames from three cameras: left, right, and center. These frames were recorded at the rate of 30 frames per second. Additional data recorded were the distribution of steering angles, average velocity, etc. were passed through a CNN to train a self-driving system.

This paper presents a visual feedback control algorithm for a system using in the green house to monitor and diagnose health of vegetable in a garden. Firstly by using image processing, the position of a vegetable will be positioned. Secondly by using PD controller and continuously updating the position of vegetable, the PD image based visual serving (PDIBVS) algorithm is applied to move the camera to that vegetable location helping the system to track and diagnose their health.

The paper presents a simple and efficient method of calibration for a camera-on-hand system, where the internal and external parameters of a 2D camera as well as the hand-eye parameters are simultaneously calibrated. The method is based on the 3D-to-2D projections of a calibrationblock with minimum two pure translations and two pure rotations of hand motions. Being evaluated on simulation data and real robot vision system indicate that our method can work stably with different noise and number of stations.

This paper focuses on SVM, CNN, DenseNet, VGG, and ResNet models to detect traffic congestion from camera images collected at Nga 5 Dai Hoc, Da Lat. These images are labeled with the words traffic congestion or no traffic congestion. The experimental results have an accuracy of over 93%. The study is an initial contribution to a future system for predicting traffic congestion in Da Lat when the camera system is fully installed.
