Positioning a patient on the catheterization table is important for proper cardiac or respiratory function during peripheral vascular interventions. Fowler’s position, where the patient’s head is a 45° angle, is more effective in reducing venous blood volume returning to the heart from the periphery compared with the supine position.

Ablation of typical atrial futter as therapeutic component in carcinoid heart disease: A case report
Carcinoid heart disease is the cardiac manifestation of carcinoid syndrome. There is limited research on rhythm management in patients with carcinoid heart disease. The association of typical atrial futter and carcinoid heart disease in particular is poorly described.

Renal cell carcinoma accounts for 2–3% of all malignant cancers in adults and is characterized by the potential development of venous tumor thrombus. Radical nephrectomy and thrombectomy with reconstruction of the inferior vena cava combined with coronary artery bypass graft can be performed safely and effectively in selected patients with renal cell carcinoma and significant coronary artery disease. Multidisciplinary teamwork and careful patient selection are essential for optimal outcomes.

We report a case of a clinical challenge lasting for 12 months, with severe and unresolved clinical features involving several medical disciplines. This report illustrates the medical challenge raised by cases of covert poisoning. In patients presenting with symptoms and signs from several organ systems without apparent cause, poisoning should always be suspected.

Intravesical Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) is used as a standard adjuvant therapy for non-muscle invasive urothelial cancer. Most patients tolerate the treatment well, with mild side effects. Systemic complications are extremely rare, occur due to BCG dissemination and are associated with immunocompromised state and urothelial breach.

Bleeding in the postoperative period after cardiac surgery is relatively frequent, especially in patients with early anticoagulant therapy, as in the case of mechanical valve replacement. Defuse hemopericardium is relatively easy to diagnose; however, loculated pericardial hematomas leading to hemodynamic collapse are relatively rare and their diagnosis is more challenging.

Anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity is an irreversible cardiac cell injury. Therefore, it’s very important to identify influencing factors of anthracycline-induced subclinical cardiotoxicity (AISC). This study was designed to analyze the influencing factors of AISC in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) treated with the (R)- CHOP chemotherapy regimen.
