  • The hydrothermal growing conditions such as temperature and time were investigated by Xray diffractometry (XRD), Raman scattering, as well as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). It is shown that the as-prepared ZnO nanorod was grown well-vertically on the substrate. Furthermore, we investigated the photocatalytic activity of synthesized samples, which showed the enhanced photodegradation ability in the composite sample.

  • In the manufacturing field of sheet products, such as paper, cigarette package, packing box, printed circuit board (PCB), solar silicon chip and so on, the detection of laminated sheet is an essential part. The precision of the counting directly affects the economic benefit of the factory and the subsequent production operation. In order to reduce the high cost and noise in mechanical paper counters, paper counting algorithms based on the gray value difference of paper have been applied and tested to solve these problems based only on vision signals.

  • In this work, ZnO nanorods (NRs) were successfully grown on printed circuit board substrates (PCBs) by utilizing a one-step, seedless, low-cost hydrothermal method. It was shown that by implementing a galvanic cell structure in an aqueous solution of 80 mM of zinc nitrate hexahydrate and hexamethylenetetramine, ZnO NRs can directly grow on the PCBs substrate without the assistance of a seed layer. The effect of hydrothermal time on the surface morphologies, and the crystallinity of the as-grown ZnO nanorods (NRs) was also investigated.

  • Recycling printed circuit boards (PCBs) is an important solution not only to treat hazardous waste but also to recover valuable materials. This research focus on optimizing the leaching copper process from waste PCBs to recycle. This process was performed in Fe2(SO4)3 solution at room temperature and using H2O2 as an oxidant. For optimization, response surface methodology was used to investigate the different parameters, including Fe2(SO4)3 concentration, volume of H2O2 addition and leaching time.

  • The surface inclination angles were 0, 45, 90, 135, and 180. Results showed the Onset of Nucleate Boiling (ONB) heat flux increased with increasing heater orientation from 0 to 90, while early ONB occurred when the heater faced downwards (135 and 180). The nucleate boiling was observed to be unstable at low heat flux (1e21% of CHF) and changed into typical boiling when the heat flux was above 21% of CHF.

  • In this paper we have designed two new compact Photonic Band Gap Structures, shows the properties of Band stop filters. Photonic Band gap filters are designed on central frequencies 1.7GHz and 2.2GHz. These Photonic filters are stable and observable. Also used photonic band gap structure on the filter surfaces, have been provided information about the increasing bandwidth up to 30% of band stop filters.

  • The process of copper leaching by sulfuric acid solution was studied using experimental planning methods using the simulation software Modde 5.0. The parameters were calculated and simulated to evaluate the effect of the acid concentration, leaching time, and the ratio between the solid and liquid phases on the leaching efficiency. The obtained results by simulation were compared with real experimental results. The obtained results from this study are planning in the actual deployment of the Hanoi Urban Environment One Member Limited Company in Vietnam.

  • High quality, high density, and well-aligned zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods have been synthesized on cost-effective printed circuit board (PCB) substrates via a simple, seedless, onestep, low-temperature hydrothermal method based galvanic cell structure.
