The circular flow model

This paper describes an investigation of fluid flow through two tandem circular cylinders using Lattice-Boltzmann Method in direct numerical simulation. The diameter ratio of two circular cylinders, D1/D2 varies from 0.5 to 1.5, and spacing ratio (L/D2) varies from 1.5 to 10, whereas the Reynolds number of 100 is considered. The numerical model is well validated by comparing the results with those obtained in the literature.

In this section we develop a simple model of operating cash flows and the accounting process by which operating cash flow forecasts are incorporated into accounting earnings. The model explains why operating cash flow changes have negative serial correlation and how earnings incorporate the negative serial correlation to become a better forecast of future operating cash flows than current operating cash flows. The model also explains other time series properties of earnings, operating cash flows and accruals.

Abstract This paper presents an implemented approach to part-mating of three-dimensional non-cylindrical parts with a 6 DOF manipulator, considering uncertainties in modeling, sensing and control. The core of the proposed solution is a reinforcement learning algorithm for selecting the actions that achieve the goal in the minimum number of steps. Position and force sensor values are encoded in the state of the system by means of a neural network. Experimental results are presented for the insertion of different parts – circular, quadrangular and triangular prisms – in three dimensions.
