The study makes use of exploratory and descriptive research design and is based on secondary sources of data collection. The dimensions of sustainable banking have been identified as environmental, social and governance (ESG). The research further highlights that sustainability issues focused by banks primarily involve “environmental” and “social” considerations, however, the “governance” aspect has not yet been considered by many. Moreover, the study reveals that there are no guidelines specified by the Bank of Lao PDR (BOL) for sustainable banking practices in Lao to date.

This article contributes to the related literature in several ways. Firstly, the present study expands understanding by examining the dynamic co-movements between cryptocurrencies and green financial instruments within the context of sustainable finance. Prior studies have concentrated on traditional cryptocurrencies, which is consistent with increased environmental and financial concerns in the presence of particular and ambiguous shocks—that is, the pandemic and the Ukraine invasion.

In ebook "Irreversible decisions under uncertainty: Optimal stopping made easy" the authors present an alternative approach to optimal stopping problems. The basic ideas and techniques of the approach can be explained much simpler than the standard methods in the literature on optimal stopping problems. The monograph will teach the reader to apply the technique to many problems in economics and finance, including new ones. From the technical point of view, the method can be characterized as option pricing via the Wiener-Hopf factorization.
