The results illustrated that application of the foliar enrichment enhanced the dry weight of weeds and increased maize growth characters, yield and yield components and total crude protein and total oil percentage of grain maize, as compared with untreated treatment.

A pot experiment was conducted at CCSHAU, Hisar during the year 2010- 11 to study the effect of zinc fertilization on green gram productivity and grain quality. Zinc was applied @ 0, 5.5 kg as basal and 0.1% Zn as foliar application. Seven green gram genotypes viz. Asha, Basanti, Satya, MH421, MH 318, and MH-565 were selected for the study.

Guava is one of the important fruit crop cultivated all over India. A guava plant shows micronutrient deficiency which could be responsible for lesser yield and quality. Foliar feeding of nutrients to fruit plants has gained much importance in recent years which is quite economical and obviously an ideal way of evading the problems of micronutrients availability and supplementing the fertilizers to the soil. The present investigation was conducted at Horticultural College & Research Institute, Periyakulam during 2018-2019.

Zinc and iron deficiencies in human nutrition are widespread in developing countries of the world where cereal crops are the major staple food. Effects are therefore underway to develop cereal genotypes with grains denser in Zn and Fe by traditional plant breeding or using genetic engineering techniques. This approach requires a long period and adequate funds. However, the products of genetic engineering are not well accepted in many countries. Agronomic biofortification is the easiest and fastest way for biofortification of cereal grains with Zn and Fe.

Field experiments were conducted at Instructional farm of Department of Vegetable Science, UBK, West Bengal. The study was aimed to evaluate about the effect of different combinations of organic nutrient sources and bio mulches on growth, physiology and yield of okra (cv. Arka Anamika) in the year 2017 and 2018. The experiment was carried out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications. There were two factors of the experiment such as factor N- Organic nutrient sources and factor M – Bio-mulches, each having four levels.

Seed biopriming, soil application with enriched FYM and foliar application of talc based formulation of Trichoderma isolates were evaluated under field condition during the Kharif season 2015. Integration of seed biopriming, soil application enriched FYM and foliar application of Trichoderma isolates T3 and T19 was found highly effective in promoting root and shoot length and stem diameter of sorghum. Individually, soil application and biopriming of seed with Trichoderma isolates were effective in growth promotion activity but their effectiveness was greater when applied as a combination.
