  • In this paper, we introduce a novel method that combines the original Mask R-CNN pipeline and 3D algorithms branch to preserve and classify the edge region. This results from the improvement of the performance of Mask R-CNN in detailed segmentation.

  • The Multi-stripe Travelling Salesman Problem (Ms-TSP) is an extension of the Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP). In the q-stripe TSP with q ≥ 1, the objective function sums the costs for traveling from one vertex to each of the next q vertices along the tour. To solve medium to large-sized instances, a metaheuristic approach is proposed. The proposed method has two main components, which are construction and improvement phases. The construction phase generates an initial solution using the Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP).

  • The first solution approach is based on a non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm improved by a local search heuristic and the second one is the GRASP algorithm (Greedy Randomised Adaptive Search Procedure) with iterated local search heuristics. They are tested on theoretical and real case benchmark instances and compared with the standard NSGA-II. Results are analysed and the efficiency of algorithms is discussed using some performance metrics.

  • This study proposes a hybrid heuristic method based on the Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP) metaheuristic and the Clarke and Wright Savings algorithm, to solve a VRPLC with several loading and routing constraints that have not been considered simultaneously before. Experimental results show that the proposed procedure produces competitive solutions in short processing times. Lastly, the impact of the added operational constraints is also analyzed.

  • This work focuses on the main problems of interactive object transfer between a human worker and an industrial robot: the recognition of the object with partial occlusion by barriers including the hand to the human worker, the evaluation of object grasping affordance, and coping with inaccessible grasping points. The proposed visual servoing system integrates different vision modules where each module encapsulates a number of visual algorithms responsible for visual servoing control in humanrobot collaboration.

  • In our work, we propose a metaheuristic algorithm which is mainly based on the principles of Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP) and Variable Neighborhood Descent (VND) to solve the problem. The GRASP is used to build an initial solution which is good enough in a construction phase.

  • Digital signal processing means algorithmic processing, representing signals as streams of numbers that can be manipulated by a programmable computer. Since DSP algorithms are programmed, standard computer languages may be used in principle for their implementation. In particular, block diagrams, that are conventionally used to help one grasp the essential elements of complex conventional computer programs, may be useful as DSP description and specification tools as well.

  • All digital systems are founded on logic design. Logic design transforms algorithms and processes conceived by people into computing machines. A grasp of digital logic is crucial to the understanding of other basic elements of digital systems, including microprocessors. This chapter addresses vital topics ranging from Boolean algebra to synchronous logic to timing analysis with the goal of providing a working set of knowledge that is the prerequisite for learning how to design and implement an unbounded range of digital systems....
