Beam-to-column panel zone behavior in a steel moment-frame is characterized by the surrounding acting forces and its rotating deformation. When subjected to lateral forces, panel zones are deformed in a parallelogram pattern that one side of its diagonal direction is in tension whereas the other side is in compression. Antidepressant, Phenothiazine, QSAR, Antidepressants are the drugs used to treat depression thereby elevates mood and modifies the behavior. The main aims in the development of new antidepressants were greater efficacy, absence of side effects, lack of toxicity in over dose and earlier onset of action. In this study, a series of novel substituted phenothiazine was synthesized and evaluated for antidepressant activity by using or forced swim test (FST). Our synthetic route started from substituted aniline which was reacted with cyclohexanone.

This paper presents some research results of the influence of driving axle location on the lateral force of vehicle with 4x2 wheel formula when vehicle is turning. The single track dynamical models of FWD and RWD vehicle while cornering are created. Based on these two dynamical models, the system equations of motion built are enable to study the influence of driving axle location on the lateral force. Some calculated simulation results are shown for illustration.

Two identical prototype solar dryers (direct and indirect) having the same dimensions were used to dry whole mint. Both prototypes were operated under natural and forced convection modes. In the case of the later one the ambient air was entered the dryer with the velocity of 4.2 m s1 . The effect of flow mode and the type of solar dryers on the drying kinetics of whole mint were investigated. Ten empirical models were used to fit the drying curves; nine of them represented well the solar drying behavior of mint.

In this contribution, some textual portions of the Leonardo da Vinci’s work were analyzed with the aim to highlight how, moving from Aristotle and going beyond him, he combines the intermediate positions that, from the Greek philosopher, passing through Buridan, arrive to Newton. This has been performed following a path that passes through the formulation of the principle of causality, the use of the concept of linear relationship (pyramidal law) between cause and effect and the introduction of a duration of the impression (memory) of mechanical systems.

This paper offers a case history of a seven-story building with three basement floors, subjected to unsymmetrical earth pressure. To reduce excessive settlements due to clay layers below the raft, and to reduce excessive shear force acting on piles due to lateral load from earth pressure, a piled raft foundation was employed.
