High density polyethylene (HDPE) was compounded with thermally exfoliated graphene oxide (TEGO) by thermokinetic mixing in a short time. High shear rates during the compounding process provided high exfoliation and proper dispersion of graphene layers in the polymer matrix. Different TEGO/polymer ratios were used to get efficient melt mixing. Structural analysis by spectroscopic techniques confirmed the exfoliation of TEGO sheets and the coverage of their surfaces by HDPE chains.

The UV-vis absorption result showed the coabsorption spectra of the parent phases in the composites. Magnetization curves presented a sharp increase in saturation magnetization MS with NFO content from 0.014 emu/g for the PTO sample to 14.360 emu/g for the composite containing 50 mol% NFO. This study indicates an effective method in the search for multilayer composites.

The aim of this paper is to investigate collective excitations and the damping rate in a multilayer structure consisting of three monolayer graphene sheets with inhomogeneous background dielectric at zero temperature within random-phase approximation. Numerical results show that one optical branch and two acoustic ones exist in the system. The lowest frequency branch disappears as touching single-particle excitation area boundary while two higher frequency branches continue in this region.

This paper outlines the synthesis of the glass/FTO/Au/ and of the glass/FTO/Si/Au/ multilayers and some obtained experimental results. Based on the measured results we observed that the structure of the sputtered Si layer is an amorphous phase meanwhile the structure of the sputtered Au layer is a crystallized phase.

The magnetic properties and domain structure of (CoFeB/Pd)n (n = 2 10) multilayers prepared by DC magnetron sputtering with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy have been investigated systematically. The study has been carried out by using vibration sample magnetometer (VSM) and magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) microscope. The results show clear changes of magnetic hysteresis and domain structure when increasing the number of bilayer (n) from 2 to 10.
