Ebook "Surface chemistry of aqueous corrosion processes" starts with a timely and in-depth review of Acid-Base Properties of Surface Oxide Films. Acid-base properties are significant in various surface phenomena such as general and localized corrosion, corrosion inhibition by organic molecules, and the adhesion of organic polymers to oxide-covered metals. This review also discusses the relationship between the two measures of surface charge, the isoelectric point of the oxide film and the potential of zero charge of the oxide-covered metal.

Ebook "Self organized nanostructures of amphiphilic block copolymers II" consisting of 14 research teams from 7 European countries, worked successfully from 2004 to 2008. Some of the results obtained in these collaborations are presented in these two volumes, supplemented by chapters dealing with additional aspects of the topic. Thus, we present a comprehensive overview of the state of the art in experimental research and theory of self-organization via self- and co-assembly of amphiphilic or hydrophilic ionic (macro)molecules in aqueous solutions and at interfaces.

Synthesis, characterization, and antimicrobial evaluation of polyvinylalcohol-osthol composite films
Although poly-vinyl alcohol (PVA) has certain mechanical drawbacks such as a weak barrier, it has widely been used in food packaging over the last many years. To increase the suitability of PVA (C2H4O)n and render it ideal for food packaging, a diversity of studies have already been carried out. In the below-mentioned script, we, for the first time, report the use of natural product osthol in making a new composite with PVA for enhancing thermal, physicochemical, and antimicrobial properties.
