An approximate method is proposed for determining the aerodynamic effect of coherent vortex structures (CVS) of atmospheric turbulence on an aircraft. As a source of the CVS the vortex wind wakes arising when the atmospheric wind flows around the mountain massif of the Son Tra peninsula, located near the Da Nang airport, and the vortex wake behind the Su-27 type aircraft in the landing configuration are considered.

In this paper, we present some new results of the Pre-Cenozoic basement structure on the Southeast continental shelf of Vietnam based on the combination of some modern methods to analyse and interpret gravity data. Blocks 10 and 11.1 are located at the western boundary of the Nam Con Son basin, offshore southern Vietnam. Hydrocarbon shows have been encountered in many wells as the Gau Chua (GC), Ca Cho (CC), Gau Ngua (GN), Phi Ma (PM), Than Ma (TM), etc. In the CC and GNfields, the oil and gas were discovered in Miocene sandstone reservoirs and in fractured granite basement. The Cau and Dua formations are active source rocks in this area.

Plasma facing components such as divertor receive huge heat load. Without proper solution to this problem, nuclear fusion reactor design would be impossible. In order to keep energy balance in the sensor, precious heat conduction model with proper boundary condition and initial condition must also be studied. Not only target temperature but also its time derivative need to be considered.

The question of whether bacterial species objectively exist has long divided microbiologists. A major source of contention stems from the fact that bacteria regularly engage in horizontal gene transfer (HGT), making it difficult to ascertain relatedness and draw boundaries between taxa. A natural way to define taxa is based on exclusivity of relatedness, which applies when members of a taxon are more closely related to each other than they are to any outsider. The present paper intended to reveal the stresses and temperature distribution in a thin hollow cylinder. The author has investigated the transient thermoelastic problem for evaluation of temperature distribution, displacement and thermal stresses of a thin hollow cylinder. The known boundary conditions are utilized for this purpose. The integral transform technique delivers the solution to the problem. The outcome of this analysis contains an infinite series. This paper presents an efficient and accurate numerical technique based upon the scaled boundary finite element method for the analysis of two-dimensional, linear, second-order, boundary value problems with the domain completely described by a circular defining curve. The scaled boundary finite element formulation is established in a general framework allowing single-field and multi-field problems, bounded and unbounded bodies, distributed body source, and general boundary conditions to be treated in a unified fashion.

A phase one design of a new free energy nano reactor is presented. The design is based on a basically topological interpretation of the Casimir effect as a natural intrinsic property of the geometrical topological structure of the quantum-Cantorian micro spacetime. The solar wind was originally envisioned using a simple dipolar corona/polar coronal hole sources picture, but modern observations and models, together with the recent unusual solar cycle minimum, have demonstrated the limitations of this picture. The solar surface fields in both polar and low-to-mid-latitude active region zones routinely produce coronal magnetic fields and related solar wind sources much more complex than a dipole.

In this paper, they mainly concluded that these granitoids were emplaced at shallow crustal levels (4.7±1.6 km) and were not deformed in a ductile manner as the brittle-ductile boundary of an extended continental crust is much deeper (15-20 km). They also suggested that the Sr-Nd-Pb-O isotopic compositions of the Alaçam granite are consistent with derivation from an older middle crustal source rather than a mantle source.

The shielding analysis results for the 2x10 cask array showed exponential decrease with distance off the sources. The controlled area boundary was calculated to be approximately 280m from the array, with a dose rate of 25mrem/yr. Actual dose rates within the controlled area boundary will be lower than 25mrem/yr, due to the decay of radioactivity of spent fuel in storage.
