The problem investigated is the potential gap between the rhetoric of the 'promise of e-business' versus the dynamics of enactment and impacts of ICT in practice in the social enterprise sector. The main contribution of the research is to identify the real development impact of lCT use by social enterprises by assessing the role of ICTs in achieving their goals. Its major finding is that SEs' social and business missions are inextricably linked .and their use of ICTs and benefits from it can be used as a proxy to assess ICTD. This study explores the use of teacher reflective practice, teacher networking and teacher collaboration, beyond formal ICT training, through blog-based professional development of English teachers in the Mumbai region of India. The central concern of this study is to develop an ICT-literacy task-based assessment instrument that may be used to evaluate trainee teachers’ level of ICT-literacy. The current literature acknowledges the need for a measurement instrument that evaluates ICT-literacy levels. This type of measurement instrument is used as an entry-level testing tool for university and job placements. However, existing ICT-literacy assessment instruments are either too expensive to be implemented or too rigid with their expected answers; moreover, they are not tailored to a teacher’s individual needs.

The purpose of the thesis "An empirical analysis of firm innovation capability and performance of Indonesian ICT SMEs" is to explore the antecedents of innovation capability and firm performance of ICT SMEs within clusters in Jakarta and Bandung in Indonesia. A causal model was proposed and tested by using Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). Findings reveal that intellectual capital is a major contributor of innovation capability. Surprisingly, being spatially close in a specific location does not trigger firms to have innovation capability.
