In this paper, a novel algorithm is proposed for the recognition of human faces and temperature using deep learning methods and thermal face images. The search-based method is developed for selection of an optimal structure and parameters of the convolutional neural network using the thermal images as the input.

Recently, thermal imaging modules equipped for infantry soldiers have been a trend to improve the combat ability of soldiers. Soldiers have to perform many different tasks at the same time, so it is necessary to equip them with the tools of automatic target detection, especially human objects detection, in practice.

Many biomaterials for bone regeneration have recently been produced using thermally gelled curdlan (1,3-β-Dglucan) as a binder for bioceramics. As the human organism does not produce enzymes having the ability to degrade curdlan, it is not clear what is the fate of curdlan gel after its implantation in the bone.

The paper has proposed a method for correcting the effect of temperature on the imaging quality of thermal imaging systems by wavefront coding technology. A cubic phase mask was added to the aperture diaphragm of the thermal imaging objective to obtain a temperatureinvariant point spread function (PSF).

In this paper, we demonstrate a homemade setup and an image processing algorithm to evaluate the image quality of optical systems working in the spectral region of 8-12 µm. The working principle of our approach relies on measuring the line spread function (LSF) and the modulation transfer function.

Medical infrared thermal imaging (MITI) is a non-invasive imaging modality gaining popularity in the veterinary field. An infrared camera captures emission of heat and creates a color map in the form of a thermogram. Topical heat emission is influenced by localized disease processes as a result of autonomic nervous system imbalance.

Abdominal computed tomography (CT) is the standard imaging method for patients with suspected colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) in the diagnostic workup for surgery or thermal ablation. Diffusion-weighted and gadoxetic-acid-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the liver is increasingly used to improve the detection rate and characterization of liver lesions.

In this study, effects of graphene oxide (GO) and ZnO nanoparticles on the properties of acrylic polymer (R4152) coating were investigated. SEM images indicated that ZnO nanoparticles distributed uniformly on GO sheets. Hence, GO/ZnO could be dispersed homogenously in the acrylic polymer matrix while ZnO nanoparticles were agglomerated in acrylic polymer matrix in the absence of GO.

Given their widespread availability and relatively low cost, percutaneous thermal ablation is commonly performed under the guidance of computed tomography (CT) or ultrasound (US). However, such imaging modalities may be restricted due to insufficient image contrast and limited tumor visibility, which results in imperfect intraoperative treatment or an increased risk of damage to critical anatomical structures.

SiO2 and TiO2 sols were successfully synthesized by using sodium silicate and titanium chloride as Si and Ti sources. SiO2-TiO2 sol coated polyester/cotton fabric was fabricated by deepcoating method and using SiO2 , TiO2 sols as coating materials. SiO2 -TiO2 coated fabric were characterized by XRD, FTIR, TGA, SEM and EDX. From SEM image, it showed the SiO2, TiO2 particles of 20-30 nm which well deposited on fabric surface. TGA result revealed the significant improvement of thermal resistance and stability of SiO2-TiO2 coated fabric as compared to those of uncoated fabric.

This paper presents the method of combining of Sentinel 2 MSI and Landsat 8 multi-resolution satellite image data for urban bare land classification based on NDBaI index. Two images of Sentinel 2 and Landsat 8 acquired closely together, were used to calculate the NDBaI index, in which sortware infrared band (band 11) of Sentinel 2 MSI image and thermal infrared band (band 10) of Landsat 8 image were used to improve the spatial resolution of NDBaI index.
