This report investigated the wet impregnation method for the synthesis of thermal storage material, namely phase change composite (PCC) for two purposes: to create a simple method for the synthesis of PCC and study behaviors of phase change material (PCM) when confined inside the pore.

The results showed that the RPA reaction, without requiring complex thermal cycles, was well-performed in the optimal conditions of 39°C within only 25 minutes. The limit of detection was identified as 310 fg of L. monocytogenes genomic DNA, which was 1000-fold more sensitive than the conventional PCR. RPA also succeeded to directly detect L. monocytogenes cells at a concentration as low as 2.5 × 101 Colony Forming Unit (CFU)/mL in pure cultures. In addition, RPA could accurately detect L. monocytogenes at 2.5 × 102 CFU/mL in milk without sample extraction or processing.

Generating power from renewable biogas in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) is an environment-friendly, efficient, and promising energy conversion process. Biogas can be used in SOFCs via a reforming process for which dry reforming is more suitable as the reforming agent exists in the biogas mixture. Biogas can be directly reformed to H2 -rich fuel stream in the anode chamber of a SOFC by the heat released during power generation.

A field experiment was conducted at research area of Department of Agricultural Meteorology, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, during the kharif season of 2013-14. The main plots treatments consisted of four date of sowing (2 nd week of April, 4 th week of April, 2 nd week of May and 1st week of June) and the sub-plots consisted of three cotton varieties (HD 123, H 1098 and RASI 134). In the 2nd week of April sown crop consumed highest thermal and radiation indices, and efficiently converted the thermal/radiant energy into biomass production.
