Magnesium tin silicide (MgSiSn) is known as a good-thermoelectric-performance, safe and cost-efficient alloy material. The goal of this work is to design a magnetron co-sputtering configuration for depositing alloy thin films from three independent metal targets including magnesium (Mg), silicon (Si) and tin (Sn).

In this work, in the framework of density functional theory, we study the electronic thermal conductivity of the compound by employing the solution of Boltzmann Transport Equation in a constant relaxationtime approximation. The results show that the electronic thermal conductivity drastically increases with the increase of temperature and carrier concentration which have a detrimental effect on the thermoelectric performance.

This paper explains how to convert the lost energy through exhaust system in internal combustion engines “ICE” to electric energy by using thermoelectric generators "TEG" with the benefit of the equipment’s which are already existed in most of the internal combustion engines such as water pump, heat exchanger, and exhaust system.
