Mechanization is important and useful as it takes place in almost every face of human endeavor to meet required target and to boost efficiency. This study was conducted to find the impact of the variables on the adoption of farm mechanization. Multi-stage random sampling technique was employed for selection of the 160 respondents.

Rotavator is an efficient tillage implement used for rapid bed preparation and is an energy and time efficient equipment for different soils compared to all other conventional tillage implements. The primary cause that limits the persistence of rotavator is wear of its blades. This paper was undertaken to study the material composition and wear characteristics of austempered ductile iron third edition rotavator blades which were developed by austempering heat process done over cast iron.

A study was conducted in Balod District of Chhattisgarh Plains in Chhattisgarh state to assess the level of draft animal power utilization, tractor utilization, power availability and women’s power contribution in agricultural and allied activities. By personal interview using a structured questionnaire 30 respondents selected in each of the village. In Gunderdehi Block Arjunda and Lohara village whereas in Gurur Block Latabod and Sikosa village was selected. The level of farm mechanization in the Balod has progressive stage.

Design, development and evaluation of zero-till-slit seed drill were carried out in ricewheat crop rotation. The field performance of the zero-till-slit seed drill was evaluated and compared to the combined tillage and seeding equipment, zero-till seed drill, roto-till seed drill, strip-till seed drill and improved conventional seed drill, The field experiment was carried out following the statistically designed slit drill was with split-split-split plot design.

Zero-Till-Slit tillage and seeding machine was designed and developed for fulfilling the requirements of conservation agriculture. The rotary zero-till-slit tillage and seeding machine were developed for zero-till seeding in straw fields after grain combine harvester's operation. The combined tillage and seeding machine were equipped with seven units of rotary slit cutters as a key component. In the present study, four different shapes of rotary slit cutters were evaluated in the soil-bin laboratory for different forces acting on the rotary slit cutter blade.
