Total least squares

This study aims to examine the relationship between audit firm rotation and audit fees. Ordinary Least Squares regression is used to test this relationship. Using data from 72 companies listed on the Vietnamese stock exchanges on HOSE and HNX, with a total of 286 observations from 2017 to 2020, this study manually collects audit firm rotation and audit fees. The results show that audit firm rotation is positively related to audit fees.

A simple method using Fourier Transform Near-Infrared (FT-NIR) was investigated to determine quality of sugarcane/sugarcane juice in terms of ◦ brix value (total soluble solids), sucrose content (polarization %) and purity. Correlation equations for the chemometric models to predict the quality parameters of sugarcane juice were developed using partial least square (PLS) regression and were evaluated by cross validation and external test set validation to test their reliability for the calculation of ◦ brix (TSS), sucrose content and purity.

This paper uses econometrics models to estimate factors affecting the offshore fishing households’ incomes in the Southern Central Coast of Vietnam. We estimate two basic models: one with total income as the dependent variable and the other with per capita income as the dependent variable. Since heteroscedasticity is in present, the study employs Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) estimations with Robust Standard Errors (OLSR).

The objective of the study was to relate the overall stock market returns to the individual returns of trading days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). The aim was to establish whether returns of trading days were statistically different from each other. The ordinary least square regression model was used to model the returns. The study focussed on ZSE stocks with data from 19 February 2009 when the ZSE started to trade in United States dollars to 31 December 2013. A total of 62 stocks were used in this study. These stocks constitute the Industrial and Mining indices.

This paper aims to look for the role information systems quality may play in work-life balance among Malaysian ICT employees. The results of this study will be useful in the development of new tools and technologies that are focused on ISQ dimensions primarily information system quality which can be helpful to devise suggestions to the ICT sector on matters pertaining to sustainable development/policy formulation with reference to achieving a good work-life balance.
