Nervous system toxicity (NST) is one of the most frequent and dangerous side effects of chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy, which is an effective treatment for related tumors in most relapsed/refractory (r/r) hematologic malignancies. Current clinical trial data do not fully reflect the real-world situation. Therefore, this study evaluated the NST of CAR-T therapy using the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS).

The prognosis of patients with Relapsed/Refractory Osteosarcoma (R/R OS) remains dismal without an agreement on systemic therapy. The use of High-Dose Ifosfamide (14 g/sqm) with an external pump in outpatient setting (14-IFO) in R/R OS patients is limited. This study represents the first retrospective cohort analysis focused on evaluating the activity and toxicity of 14-IFO in this setting.

Checkpoint inhibitors (CPIs) are widely used in cancer treatment, with transformative impacts on survival. They nonetheless carry a significant risk of toxicity in the form of immune-related adverse events (IrAEs), which may be sustained and life-altering. IrAEs may require high-dose and/or prolonged steroid use and represent a significant healthcare burden.

This study aimed to investigate the levels of contamination of potentially toxic trace elements in the soil of Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. To achieve this, the Instrument Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) method was employed to measure the concentrations of five potentially toxic trace elements, including manganese (Mn), arsenic (As), chromium (Cr), antimony (Sb), and zinc (Zn), across 30 soil samples collected from the region.

Toxic metals in water systems pose a global health risk. Thus, multifunctional water monitoring and treatment materials are indispensable. Nickel ions, a frequent heavy metal pollutant, affect ecosystem function. This study investigates the utilization of Al2O3@g-C3N4 (AlCN) nanosorbent for adsorbing Ni (II) ions from aqueous solutions.

The GLP regulations have developed from rules on how to exactly document the planning, conduct and reporting of toxicity studies to a quality system for the management of a multitude of study types, from the simple determination of a physical/chemical parameter to the most complex field tests or ecotoxicology studies. At the same time the term "Good Laboratory Practice" has become somewhat of a slogan with the aim to characterise any reliably conducted laboratory work.

Pluchea pteropoda, an annual plant in the Asteraceae family, has traditionally been used in Vietnamese folk medicine as an alternative treatment for high fever, indigestion, and painful and swollen wounds. The present study investigates the acute toxicity and antiinflammatory effects of P. pteropoda aerial parts ethanol extract (EtPP) in animal models. EtPP exhibited no toxicity in mice with a single dose of up to 5000 mg/kg.

The result pointed out that only 5 g of soft tissue from N. glans (equivalent to 2–3 specimens) containing maximum toxicity detected in the present study may cause human death if consumed. Fhe first time, this study identified TTXs in the gastropods as a causative toxin in the poisoning in Vietnam. Moreover, 65.5% of studied specimens with high toxicity higher than 100 MU/g, including 16.1%, showing extremely high toxicity (> 1,000 MU/g). The results suggested that this gastropod is quite dangerous for human consumption and should be alerted to public awareness.

The kinetic study was also carried out by studying the adsorption process at different temperatures using these two adsorbents to find the rate of adsorption process, its mechanism and to determine different thermodynamic parameters. For this purpose, different kinetic models were used which include film diffusion, particle diffusion, intraparticle diffusion, Elovich, Lagergren pseudo first order, Lagergren pseudo second order, simple first order and second order equations.
