Selenium (Se) has been recognized as an essential micronutrient for nearly all forms of life. In recent decades, broiler responses to dietary Se supplemental levels and sources have received considerable attention. On environmental grounds, organic trace mineral utilization in practical broiler feeds has been defended due to its higher bioavailability.

Lactating dairy cows are the greatest livestock contributor of methane, a major global greenhouse gas (GHG). However, good feeding management with adequate mineral intake can offers an effective approach to maintaining high levels of milk production and the health of dairy cows over the entire course of lactation, while also helping to reduce methane emission.

The results showed that SOM content was higher in horizon A, whereas mineral matrix elements Al, Fe, and Mg contents were higher in horizon B. Ca and P contents gradually decreased with soil depth due to the influence of fertilizer. Three types of trace element concentration profiles were identified: (1) decrease with depth for Cd and Hg

Studies on the effect of different nutritional compounds on antibiotic activity revealed that the highest antibacterial activity was obtained when 1% starch (w/v) was used as the sole carbon source along with mineral trace elements. Extraction and purification of TBG19NRA1 culture supernatant led to the isolation of a pure molecule with good antibacterial activity. The compound has been identified as the cyclic polyether lasalocid A on the basis IR, MS and 13C NMR data interpretation and comparison with reference data from literature.

Vegetables and fruits are vital constituents of human diet, as it provides necessary minerals and nutrients to human body to carry out biological reactions and provide protection against various diseases and injuries. Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) is consider as cash crop in Asian countries and are fine source of vitamin C, potassium, folate, vitamin K, and other bioactive compounds including, phenolics, flavonoids, carotenoids, and alkaloids. Similar to other crops, tomato quality and yield is also affected by pests. Globally, approximately 37.8% of tomato yield is spoiled due to pests.

The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of antioxidant [vitamin E (vit E)] and trace minerals [selenium (Se), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn)], high energy diet supplementation and its effect on allometric and physio-biochemical parameters in crossbred cows during transition period. For this, advanced pregnant crossbred cows (n = 20) of 2nd to 4th parity and lactation potential of >10 L/day at 28 days prepartum were divided into two groups viz. control (CON) and treatment (TRT) consisting of 10 animals each.

Fourteen animals were randomly divided into two groups control (n=7) and treatment (n=7; Copper@225mg, Zinc@1.0gm per animal per day). Treatment group was supplemented with organic copper at the rate of 225mg and Zinc at rate1.0gm per animal per day respectively, in addition to normal feeding, 60 days before the expected date of calving till the date of artificial insemination.

Goat is universally recognized as "Poor man’s cow’’. It is a very versatile animal because of short generation interval, browsing habit, low investment, and high rate of prolificacy. Milk is the complete and first food of mammals which provides energy and nutrients needed for the proper growth and development. Goat milk is superior in nutrients and is having better digestibility, alkalinity, buffering capacity and certain therapeutic values. During the entire study the fresh milk samples of Pantja goats according to stage of lactation were analyzed for minerals content.
