In this paper, a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) scheme is proposed for permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) wind turbine systems. With this method, an adaptive compensation control is considered to improve the system dynamic response and therefore more energy yield can be extracted from the wind turbine, depending on a trade-off between the system dynamic behavior and the transient load of the drive train.

In this study, phase separation of colloidal whey protein isolate (WPI) particle dispersions was studied using a rod-like polysaccharide xanthan. Effects of different xanthan concentration, particle volume fraction, and temperature were analyzed by visual observations, turbidity measurements, and particle mobility tracking method. Particle mobility was determined using a diffusing wave spectroscopy (DWS) set up. Xanthan concentration was kept low in order not to increase the viscosity of dispersions, so that the phase separation could be observed easily.

The numerical results show that with the new dynamic foundation model the foundation mass effects more significantly on the dynamic response of track-vehicle interaction. An efficient method to detect periodic behavior in botnet traffic by analyzing control plane traffic
Botnets are large networks of bots (compromised machines) that are under the control of a small number of bot masters. They pose a significant threat to Internet’s communications and applications. A botnet relies on command and control (C2) communications channels traffic between its members for its attack execution. C2 traffic occurs prior to any attack; hence, the detection of botnet’s C2 traffic enables the detection of members of the botnet before any real harm happens. We analyze C2 traffic and find that it exhibits a periodic behavior.

The model is coupled with irradiation effect via tracking dislocation loop evolution on each slip system. On the basis of the model, uniaxial tensile tests of unirradiated and irradiated RPV steel(take Chinese A508-3 as an example) at different temperatures are simulated, and the simulation results agree well with the experimental results. Furthermore, crystal plasticity damage is introduced into the model. Then the damage behavior before and after irradiation is studied using the model.

Direct MRAS offers a potential solution to reduce the tracking errors in the presence of uncertainties and variation in plant behavior. However, this control algorithm may fail to be robust to measurement noise. In order to solve this trouble, the indirect MRAS is introduced that permanently adjust the parameters of observers. The adaptive adjusting law is derived by applying Lyapunov theory. The adaptive algorithm that is shown in this paper is quite simple, robust and converges quickly. Performances of the controlled systems are studied through simulation in Matlab/Simulink environment.
