Translating nominalization

5’ untranslated regions (5’UTRs) are essential modulators of protein translation. Predicting the impact of 5’UTR variants is challenging and rarely performed in routine diagnostics. Here, we present a combined approach of a comprehensive prioritization strategy and functional assays to evaluate 5’UTR variation in two large cohorts of patients with inherited retinal diseases (IRDs).

Technical translation from English into Vietnamese in general and translation of nominalization in geological texts in particular often cause many difficulties to translators. Through a study on theories of translation methods and procedures, together with an investigation into both English geological texts and their equivalent Vietnamese ones, the author managed to find out appropriate translation procedures to deal with English - Vietnamese translation of nominalization in geological documents.

We propose a novel approach to constraint-based type inference based on coinductive logic. Constraint generation corresponds to translation into a conjunction of Horn clauses P, and constraint satisfaction is defined in terms of the coinductive Herbrand model of P. We illustrate the approach by formally defining this translation for a small object-oriented language similar to Featherweight Java, where type annotations in field and method declarations can be omitted.
