In this work, gold nanorods (AuNRs) with well-controlled aspect ratios were prepared using a modified seedgrowth method and covered by TiO2 layers through the hydrothermal reaction to improve stability. Integrating TiO2 with plasmonic rod-like gold nanoparticles could enhance their photo activity by the local surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect. AuNRs aspect ratios were controlled by varying the amount of seed solution, reducing agents, surfactant (CTAB), and titanium (IV) but oxide.

This study was carried out to calculate and design the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems of a CVT test bench. With the initially designed test bench simulated, it is possible to evaluate the characteristic quantities controlling the transmission ratio of the gearbox such as the pressure acting on the pulleys, the force acting on the belt, the torque at axes corresponding to different load modes vary from 2kW to 6 kW.

This paper presents a solution to the power balance control strategy for WSN with collaborating heuristic. A distance between the weight factors and obtained nodes interference value is used to establish a useful interference model for enhancing the signal-to-interference-noise ratio (SINR). The utility function of the nodes residual energy and transmission rate is modeled by apply heuristic strategy. The optimal transmission power is obtained after several iterations of the heuristic algorithm.

In this paper, we present a power optimization solution based on the automatic power control method using a closed-loop algorithm for the uplink power control device (UPC) of the satellite communication HUB station. The results are evaluated by theoretical analysis and validated by simulation model on Matlab software, finally the model has also been used in the UPC device and tested in practice.

The gels were prepared by reacting ferric nitrates (as oxidants) with starch (as fuel) at an elevated temperature of 200 °C. In this study, silver nanoparticle (AgNP) synthesis was carried out using Onosma sericeum Willd. aqueous extract for the first time, with a simple, economical, and green method without the need for any other organic solvent or external reducing or stabilizing agent. A variety of AgNPs, all of different particle sizes, were synthesized by controlling the silver ion concentration, extract volume, temperature, and pH. It was determined that the optimum conditions for AgNP synthesis were 1 mM AgNO3 , pH 8, 25 °C, 20 g/200 mL extract, silver nitrate, and extract ratio 5:1 (v/v).

Nickel catalysts supported on γ-Al2 O3 were synthesized in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) using both alkaline polyol method and hydrazine reduction method while fixing the weight ratio of [(PVP)]/[Ni(CH3COO)2·4H2O] at 2. The effects of hydrazine [N2H5OH]/[Ni] and [NaOH]/[Ni] molar ratios on the structural properties of the catalysts were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The average of monodispersed Ni nanoparticles ranged between 8.0 and 13.0 nm.

In this study, the carbon nanotube supported gold, bismuth, and gold-bismuth (Au/MWCNT, Bi/MWCNT, and Au-Bi/ MWCNT) nanocatalysts were prepared with NaBH4 reduction method at varying molar atomic ratio for glucose electrooxidation (GAEO). The synthesized nanocatalysts at different Au: Bi atomic ratios are characterized via x-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and N2 adsorption-desorption.

The templated porous carbons were prepared from sucrose by one-pot method. In this method in which the pre-synthesis of the hard template is eliminated, the porous carbons were produced by organic-inorganic self-assembly of sucrose, tetraethyl ortosilicate (TEOS), Pluronic P123 and n-butanol in an acidic medium, and subsequent carbonization. The synthesis parameters such as sucrose amount, TEOS molar ratio and carbonization temperature were evaluated for describing their effects on the pore structures of the synthesized carbons.

Herein introduce a new approach to synthesize MoO2/graphene composites via plasma-enhanced electrochemical exfoliation process. Our samples were prepared by electrifying graphite rods in (NH4)2Mo7O24 solution under a DC voltage of 70V. By controlling the experimental parameters such as the initial ratio of [Mo7O24] 2– precursor, the current and time, we can modify the size and the size distribution of MoO2 nanoparticles on graphene sheets. The composites were characterized with Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy, X-ray Diffraction and Raman Spectroscopy.

This paper examines weather the capital requirements affect the effectiveness of monetary policy from the credit channel. According to the penal data of commercial banks listed on the A-share stock market in China from 2007 to 2017, I find that the capital requirements to the commercial banks affect the bank loans through the credit channel of monetary policy transmission, which is more obviously on the smaller banks. I further use issuance of preferred stocks of commercial banks instead of IPO to confirm the results again.

Ordered SBA-15 mesoporous silica support was synthesized by a sol-gel method using triblock copolymer Pluronic P123 and immobilized with different amounts of photocatalyst TiO2. The synthesized composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms. The synthesized materials possessed specific surface areas SBET of 768 m2 /g, 544 m2 /g, 421 m2 /g and 333 m2 /g at the TiO2:SiO2 ratio of 0, 0.25, 1.0 and 5.0, respectively.
